Mollet del Vallès - Barcelona

There was still plenty of snow when this was taken in late July this year. Down below I included a shot I took here in 2007 with an older point and shoot just for a comparison. It was later in the year then but even so there seemed to be much less snow.

I used the SLR Magic 35mm 1.7 lens. When shot wide open, only the center is in focus.

I guess I thought seagulls emerged full-grown from the trash dumps in Staten Island but apparently the Niagara gorge is huge nesting area

I just love this time of the year, with the knowledge that all of summer is stretched out before us!

The first warm day of spring. Everywhere it starts to blossom. But, what strange, hard colours the film simulation "negativ classic" (Superia) has. I can't remember such strange green tones, back in the early 90s at Fujicolor Superia. But it's also a long time ago. anyway, i'm developing a love-hate relationship with this simulation.

I love this time of the year, when everything comes to life again.

Kodak Farbwelt 800 expired (date unknown)

CZJ Flektogon 2.4/35

Long-expired fast film like this one is never a good idea. Too much grain, low contrast, muted colours. It took extensive PP to make these images acceptable and certainly not a good film to test my Flektogon and a recently acquired Vivitar telephoto in M42.
