Shortly after departure from Stuttgart Hbf, 181201 passes Stuttgart Nordbahnhof with IC182 to Zürich HB on 24.04.2014.
Although in 2015 these dual-voltage machines are no longer diagrammed for the Gäubahn InterCity workings they can still occaisonally be found desputising for unavailable class 101's, however, this will become history with the introduction of the new 'IC 2' services from 2017. Even the locations' days are numbered, with the completion of 'Stuttgart 21' then this too will vanish.

I'm SO excited for Spring! Not so excited about allergies...
This is the first time I ever complete a series. Years ago, I was looking outside my bedroom window and someone saw me from behind and came up to me to ask me why I was crying. I wasn't, but I realized at that instant that the scene of me looking outside my bedroom window looks so intriguing and dramatic. Hence, this photo series. I'm considering broadening the horizons of this series past the direct 'seasons' approach. For now, below are the links for the other picture in this series:

The male American Goldfinch--his yellow feathers are so bold, his black and white so striking, in the spring and summer! He comes especially for thistle, but occasionally will nibble a bit of other seed.

We had endless snow all day yesterday, quite heavy snowfall, although it didn't lie very much in the city as it had been raining so much before, although it did turn to slush as the flakes whirled around in the wind, and plastered the flakes over people's jackets, roofs, windows.
Hard to believe it is early April! I braved the freezing cold to grab a few quick people watching shots on my way home from work (then had to put my gloves back on as my fingers were frozen to the camera!)
