Springtime with temperatures in the low thirties, and nature blooming all around, just a joy to walk around the streets and parks of Rome at this time of the year before the hustle and bustle of the high tourist season.

Springtime Wonder
The sky has never looked so blue
Never a breeze so sweet
Flowers burst forth in brilliant array
As Springtime comes to greet.
The trees stand tall in their glory
Tender leaves cover limbs once bare
Yards filled with laughing children
Can you match the splendor there.
There is nothing quite as pleasant
As a walk in Springtime hours
The bees even harmonize with life
As they drift among the flowers.
A golden rainbow after the storm
Beauty beyond compare
A taste of heaven here on earth
With green grass everywhere.
God softly whispers to us
As gentle rains caress
The countryside, with drops of life
In such pure tenderness.
And if you listen close enough
I'm sure that He'll impart
The freshness of Spring upon your soul
And a flower in your heart.

The sun starting to rise over downtown Portland, Oregon in early April. View from the Pittock Mansion.
Noticed this couple in London's Covent Garden enjoying each other's company. It was the pleasure on his face when looking at her that caught my eye.
It's officially Spring and although we can't go out because of the Covid-19 lockdown, I'm glad that I have nature around me so that I can take these photos without breaking the rules.
I hope we'll have a nice Summer after all. Meanwhile, let's stay home, safe and strong.

Pinky went for a walk in the garden...ah, springtime! :)

I really love the soft colors in this image. There was a leaf in the foreground that blurred out causing that effect.

The springtime of Lovers has come,
that this dust bowl may become a garden;
the proclamation of heaven has come,
that the bird of the soul may rise in flight.
The sea becomes full of pearls,
the salt marsh becomes sweet as kauthar,
the stone becomes a ruby from the mine,
the body becomes wholly soul.

I am so looking forward to springtime, need some sun on my face. So waiting for that I did a springtime painting with colorful flowers. It is a 60 x 60 cm canvas with different layers of acrylic paint.
ODC = A for Azalea

My Azalea bush has been blooming for a couple of weeks now, hard to believe it is spring already. Today was a beautiful somewhat cool spring day here and I reveled in spending it outside working it the yard cleaning up all that winter left behind and getting ready for springtime.

The Dallas Arboretum was insane this morning. So much gorgeous color that it makes a person a bit faint. Sadly, our springtime adventure was cut short when Baxter broke out in hives all over his hands and arms. I ended up rushing him to the pediatrician because they went from looking like tiny mosquito bites to huge welts in the span of 30 minutes. But by the time the doctor saw us they were fading, and now they're gone completely. My guess is that he had an allergic reaction to something that was in a little pond that he stuck his arms into -- poor guy, he just can't seem to catch a break lately.
Much like peanut butter, I prefer my images less crunchy.
Inspired by a fuchsia dining room set I saw in a magazine 3 weeks ago, all I could find that was close to what I saw was Behr's Springtime Blossom. I'm not entirely happy with it, but maybe once I find some aqua glass knobs, I'll like it more. :D
I thought I knew at a glance what this was...now I'm not so sure, but I'm sticking with my gut, which says "snowberry". Anyhow, backlit along a hiking trail, not too far from the salamanders and reflections posted in my photostream. I enhanced the darkness of the background a bit using Levels, otherwise this image is pretty much as shot. I love springtime green!!!
