Aspen in Spring along Williams Creek Road (FS 640) outside Pagosa Springs, CO. When I lived in Colorado, it was such a joy to watch the leaves come out in springtime.

I am loving how this gnome hat fits these Lila dolls. A wee bit loose so the peak stands taller and with the added bow I think its adorable!

The green grass of Utah farm country blows gently in the spring breeze as UP 3967 briefly interrupts the peace as it blasts westward through Santaquin, UT on Union Pacific's Sharp Subdivision.

It's good to see the start of a new cricket season on a pleasant spring Sunday.
A storm blew through leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. This morning, here are five observations from yesterday's walk in the park. I walked down the bank of the lake to get a better view of this tree. Luckily, a young man was there fishing. I thought he completed the scene.

I took these photos at TARGET (yes the dept store) in the GARDEN dept last Spring. Since then they have closed down all their nurseries..I hope they at least continue to sell items for outdoor living such as statues, water features, pots, outdoor furniture etc, etc...

Yesterday I think was the first real day of spring this year here in Iceland. I went a small trip on my offroadbike, and usually we are not allowed to ride near this place, but I got there yesterday on a hardpacked snow, so there was no harm done. This old shack is in a place called Ólafsskarð (Ólafs-pass).

"Springtime for Egrets" by Patti Deters. A proud Great Egret (Ardea alba) parent guards her little family clutch of three baby chicks as they move about their nest, perhaps waiting for the other parent to bring home some food. Nestled in among bright spring colored green leaves, the nest consists of sticks and twigs and tree small branches. Nests can be formed either in the tops of trees or on the ground. The Great Egret is the largest of the wading birds in the world, and is also sometimes called common egret, white egret, or even white heron. These birds were seen in Fergus Falls, Minnesota at GPS 46°16'34.4644N, 96°3'45.6361W.
