(I couldn't decide so posted both.)
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ANY AND ALL VIEWS, COMMENTS AND FAVES, ETC. I APPRECIATE IT!
With winter placing its icy grip on a lot places currently, thinking about a warm day with puffy clouds seems rather pleasant about now. Passing lilac bushes neatly planted in the yards of the old Rio Grande section houses at Radium, Colorado, Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr curves by on the afternoon of June 6, 2013.
Springtime
In this image of turtles reaching for the sun on an early spring day, I see all of us reaching for something greater, all toward the Son but in our own direction. But all floating outside our own control together.
The mid-train DPU of loaded coal train T209 works along the New River at Hawks Nest, West Virginia on the afternoon of April 11, 2021.
So i have this idea of printing these 9 photos 8x8, with 3 rows of 3 making a big square. I would do it on canvas but i am thinking it would be a little pricey, but im okay with framing them. What do you guys think? I will include the rest of the collection in the comments:)
It’s Iris Time: My backyard garden has now added these gorgeous, velvety, frilly purple Irises. They are opening a few at a time. I’ll be adding more to this album as they continue to open and flourish until the whole Iris patch has opened❣️Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs)
In the spring 2020, I decided to give my oldest camera another try. This time I loaded that little German beauty from the early ’50s with a roll of Agfa Optima 200 from the early ’90s.
I had already shot a test roll at box speed and got somewhat underexposed frames so I chose to expose this one at ISO 50.
Taken with:
Zeiss Ikonta 523/2
Novar-Anastigmat 105mm f/3.5
Agfa Optima 200 (Expired 01/1994)
Scanned with:
Canon EOS 6D
Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8
Negative Lab Pro

Found this little guy/girl collecting necter on a Spring day. I love the way that even at 1/500th of a second shutter speed the wings are still blurred.

Springtime at Portneuf Gap
Portneuf Gap is at the narrow entrance to the valley that is occupied by the small city of Pocatello, Idaho. The Portneuf River flows through the gap. It's behind the trees in the photo.
During the hottest summer ever recorded in the Austin area, the landscape was brown and dusty. Now, with cool weather and rain, everything has turned springtime green. In the next couple of weeks, we'll have the first frost, and then a winter of brown and grey. I just love changing seasons!
Blue skies and a skip in one's step signal springtime in the capital of Catalunya.
