Green Springtime 2016 -

My backyard was full of surprise this past April! Even with all the strange weather we had these hardy daffodils just kept blooming! I love springtime flowers.

A quiet path wanders through a sea of springtime bluebells in Worcestershire, UK.

First rose bloom of the season in my garden.

I was out shopping and there was a small patch of woods with this tree blooming!

taken exactely 1 year ago in the frame of my 366-project and didn't make it that day. This year nature is not so far, neither green lawn nor daisies yet around in Hamburg;)

Btw: Northern Lapwings (Kieviten) are here all year round in large numbers, Pied Oystercatchers (Scholeksters) returned about 2 weeks ago.

Dandelions are not always the most beautiful of flowers (some consider them weeds) but I always enjoy them.

I usually associate taking pictures of bees on croci in Sheffield Botanical gardens as a springtime thing, so I was amused to be doing this out of season :)
