Last summer I tried to take a splash shot. I searched the best splash shots on flickr and I noticed that the background played an important role. I opted for this background, I studied the light, I bought a liter of milk, a peach and I did two experiments. This one was the first and the best one too. I took several shots exploiting the 6.5 frame/sec feature of my canon 40d. No one of the taken shots persuaded me so I was really disappointed above all because it was quite demanding cleaning the floor. Browsing the shots on the computer I had the idea of join all the shots to give the feeling of a movie. I hope you enjoy it.

TfL are having a last splash of the Year of the Bus sculptures at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at Stratford. Here is a selection of the buses. Despite TfL saying all 60 of the sculptures were on show they were not all there which is somewhat irritating.

One last splash before the end of the day. Poor Knights, New Zealand.

It was an amazing day with the kids from Everyone Has Hope Project. They were joined with other Burmese kids from KL. The venue was at Jungle Lodge Alang Sedayu just a few kms from the city. Photos shot with Nikon V1 and Canon 60D. Edited with Apertue using VSCO film filters — at Jungle Lodge, Alang Sedayu, Gombak.

Fountain outside the Pool Pavilion in St. Louis' Tower Grove Park. The pavilion was built in 1914, restored by a gift from the Gateway Foundation in 1997, and further updated for public use through a Whitaker Foundation grant in 1998 and 1999.

The fountain is a great place for kids (and adults!) to splash around on Saturdays, while visiting the Tower Grove Farmers' Market behind the pavilion.

Starting of the morning wading in the cool shade....an accidental dip in the river got the camera wet and fairly non-functional. Hope it dries out....how odd I had just bought a new camera this week....good thing I took the old one "swimming" :)

"Wow, the scenery is so happy... AHHHHHHHHH!" *splash*

Certaines voitures passaient pile au milieu de la grosse flaque qui s'était formée dans le trou après le garage. Et ça donnait de belles choses !

Part of the concept of the photo-monk project was a Zen approach to photography. In other words, noticing the art in all things and paying attention to every detail. Like this paint stain for instance, to me, the white splash against the dark background was a thing of beauty.

This was shot in JPG using a blue and white filter created in the camera, there was no post-processing.

They said that a baby seal was born that morning and was on the beach, but we couldn't tell which one. It must have worn them out though, they were all napping! I loved the texture on this old pier, the splashing waves, and peaceful seals....it all blended so well together. Hmmm...I miss the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves.
