Riding Splash Mountain @ night - bad idea.

M3 Amphibious Rigs from 23 Amphibious Engineer Troop (23 Amph Tp) and Pionierbattalion 130 of the German Bundeswehr have today been conducting training exercises that have seen them ferry elements of US2nd Cavalry Regiment across the River Vistula in Poland. The training part of EXERCISE ANAKONDA 2016 is aimed at demonstrating NATO allies joint defense capabilities.

Flash triggered manually and at same time as a coin dropped from above the wine glass. Rustic synchronization, but in future would love to try it out with microphone equipped Arduino based flash trigger for more dramatic splash effects.

Catching up with my GP challenges, making a splash photo, not with fruit as asked by LisaJane, but with a chocolate egg. Not that pleased with the results, I guess it's not really my thing after all.

Splash Mountain was so intimidating as a kid; now, I love it, but hate sitting down when the seat is still wet. The last time we rode it was during Extra Magic Hours, and we were the only ones in the boat, so we both sat in the back of the log. I think with all of the weight in the back, the log moved a little slower than normal and the drop felt like we were going to come off the track. The log never seemed to get onto a plane and we didn't get wet at all. We also kissed for the camera on the drop, hoping to get a picture, but it didn't show up at the picture booth.

First tries with my new splash art kit Really pleased with it, dead easy to set up, will be experimenting with lighting, backgrounds and different liquids as soon as I get time! I feel an addiction coming on!

Lovely splash effects from the waves

The kids had a blast during this Storytime at Friendswood's Splash Pad!

The "Splash" was caused by the waves sucking back down a steep pebbly shore and colliding with incoming waves. The shafts of light on the horizon were amazing. A few minutes before I took this it rained. I turned around and saw a full rainbow, the 8th rainbow that afternoon.

This is my 2nd entry in the September 2011 competition.

The fun thing about shooting the Splash drop is that it's always different and you never know exactly what you're going to get. I usually request the front of the log but this time, decided to mix it up a bit.
