Another late night. No one told me this photography stuff would be so addictive. Some nights, like tonight, I have to force myself to go to bed. It's 10 to 4 and I have to be up at 7.

We took the kids to the splash pad here on post today. They had a blast. I am posting many shots from today. Some I think are print worthy for our album, others are just of the kids having a good time. Hope everyone enjoys!
This splash pad is at the roof terrace of IMM Shopping Mall. The children were having such much fun playing with the water canons
Driving through a puddle, the water splashed up almost to the height of the car. It was pretty, a bit unsettling, and fortunately I was trying to take a picture of a pedestrian with an umbrella at the time. (From the passenger seat - I may be a bit of a nut but I am not crazy enough to drive in the rain and take pictures at the same time!)

So after waiting in a long line during "Magic Hour". We were near the end when this happened! Soon after this we were escorted out and behind the ride. We were told not to take pictures. It wasn't much anyways just a backlot with some logs out for I guess repairs. After that we were told sorry and to have a good night. Seriously? No fast passes or anything! As we left Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was also closed for issues. So much for that magic hour. This isn't the first time I have stayed extended hours only to have one of the rides down for the night.

Splash Mountain opened July 17, 1992, and the Official Dedication was held October 2, 1992.
More than 65 Audio-Animatronics fill the attraction, which also has one of the largest animated props in the finale. The Showboat is 36 feet wide and 22 feet high, and rocks back and forth as a cast of 12 audio-animatronics sing and dance to "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah."
To bring the classic Disney story "Song of the South" to life, Walt Disney Imagineers created a magnificent mountain chock-full of backwoods swamps, bayous and waterfalls.
The concrete flume course is more than 2,600 feet long, or about 1/2 a mile.
Splash Mountain has a 950,000 gallon water reservoir!
