Two classmates were analyzing the waveform of a vibrating string with a phantom high speed camera. I just went along for the ride and captured some pictures of the experiment.
Rob Calloway works the speed bag in his gym in St. Joseph, MO. Calloway was a physical therapist. His theory was, he knows the human body well enough to shape his own into being a champion.
And he did it. While fighting for Don King, he became the welter weight champion of the world.
We should all be so passionate about our dreams that we're willing to take a few hits to the head to make them come true.

I took all these photos on Saturday, April 16, 2016. My friend- Vern- asked me if I'd like to come take photos. I said I'd probably be able to do one day. Next year, I plan on going all three days.
For three days, different blacksmiths from around the world (there were some from Denmark, England, and even Australia) compete by making different horseshoes. Each round lasts an hour and they start with two flat pieces of metal. Where you see two-man teams is a novice. Novice blacksmiths have a more experienced blacksmith run their fire for them. They also do speed rounds, where they get 14 minutes to make a horseshoe after looking at a cadaver hoof for ten seconds.
This is an oldie I just found whilst spring-cleaning my hard drive. I was taking these shots at Navigation Road metro station when I glanced over my shoulder and saw this amazing huge moon. I swung the tripod round immediately, flipped the camera on its side, and managed to get this just as a car went back over the speed bumps...
Free is good! I cleaned out a condo for a friend after his tennants bugged out. I got to keep some stuff I found there. This set is one of them.
The speeder has a couple of things wrong with it, overall. I will notate the pics to show them.
The speeder will be cannibalized for parts. There are just too many good parts here that will work well as part of the Mega-Mondo-MOC I am going to build. Also, using anything SW just completely lacks creativity or originality, & so it bores me.
Blinking alternately between 30 and the icon of a 19th centrury studio camera that has been use to illustrate highway speed cameras in this country. What do other countries use?
Assignment: Shutter Speed: For this picture, I used a fast shutter speed so the photo would be in focus. Then I had to turn up my ISO so the picture would be brighter.
Ferrari Formula One gearbox, 1989
This gearbox uses innovative technology to give seven speeds and semi-automatic operation. Gear changes are made using paddles mounted on the steering column so that the driver does not have to take a hand off the steering wheel. The shifts are made almost instantaneously, saving previous fractions of a second each time. Ferrari was the first team to introduce this type of gearbox to Formula One.

From the very first Ferrari to Michael Schumacher’s winning Formula One car and the newest hybrid model, the exhibition features rare cars and memorabilia displayed in public for the first time. Discover the Ferrari experience through original hand-drawn sketches, sculpture-like models and engines, alongside films and interviews telling one of the great design stories of all time.
