I could've spend all day talking to Carla about Cerebus and Jaka's Story. I picked up the hardcover of Finder #1-14 and 22, which she says is a standalone issue that fit better in those issues then between 21 & 23.
I got the idea to run fast around this part of the 1964 installation, and instructed Karin to just take several pictures of me doing so. I thought it would be funny to run past these smeared pictures, making a cartoonish picture of myself at exaggerated speed.

Here, you can see part of a large-format installation at the Bohen Foundation by artist Gary Simmons, as well as another one of the LOT-EK offices in the background. I was not familiar with Simmons or his work before seeing this exhibition. He is known for addressing racism and stereotypes in history and pop culture, and his erasure drawings (the style seen here) are a trademark style. Here is an interesting essay that includes some analysis of his work.
The Bohen Foundation was probably my favorite site from openhousenewyork. LOT-EK's shipping containers are used as offices, with innovative modification and use of space. You also can read a little about it if you scroll down on this page.
Here's how OHNY described it:

This guy tried to out run a Highway Patrol Car and went the wrong way on Hanesmall Blvd.(a main thorough-fare) on a Saturday night in Winston-Salem. We arrived just after the ambulance. Several injuries but no deaths thank goodness. He was actually going in the other direction. Oh, by the way he didn't have a divers license among many other factors.
Well?
Our theme this week in Macro Monday's is "Speed"
Every Monday, we post one to five macro photos depicting the weekly challenge. This week's chalenge is "Speed."
Ten to 15 miles per hours is FAST to some things like milkweed that would love that speed to spread their seed elsewhere. This milkweed seed was almost blown off of the plant by the speed of the Sunday morning wind in a park that I was walking through.
very smart 50's laundromat, sorry Laundrobar, still operating, but the Speed Queens have been retired.
A nick pic I just felt like making when I downloaded "Speed Dial" by Mitchel Musso. I really like how this one turned out (:
