Came back home and did some weeding/clearing in the backyard, then straightened up around the garage.

We were watching 3 male cheetahs resting under a tree. Although it is thrilling to see predators, they can be very boring to watch, because they are resting or sleeping for the best part of the day. We were not expecting any action, but then a small group of wildebeast was passing by. Suddenly the cheetahs became alert and within a split second they seemed to decide to go in for the kill. They started running and all I could do was start clicking away... This was my best attempt. The young wildebeast did not stand a chance. It all happened so fast, the next shot in my photostream was taken within the same minute as the first shot of the chase!

A wooden ball going fast hits a raw egg.
My garage doesn't smell very good at this point.
Have to get another hobby.
A point of minor note is to look at how amazingly similar the egg breakage is. The eggs are also sitting on a PVC pipe stand. After each shot I cleaned out a perfect little cookie cutter round of egg shell punched out by my high speed hydrostatic press.
I also have to try this shot again as neither is quite in focus. My little "focus predictor" gadget was not designed for these larger targets.
Too much enbiggening going on.

Anders Grondal pushing it to max but hitting the sidewalk, breaking the rims of the car during the rally. The car went of the road and crashed totally.
My wife and I visited Myrtle Beach this week. On Monday we spent some time visiting Broadway at the Beach. The Speed XXL is at the Pavilion Amusement Park Central.

"This glass is shattered and in pieces, lad. In fact, you'll note the lack of a cockpit canopy at all, glass or otherwise."

So this was a pretty quick build, it may well be that some kind of racing speeders will form the next display I do. I wanted to try a narrative of sorts with this, starting from a junkyard scrapper, and gradually improving and refining until we get something sleek and advanced.
In terms of the build itself I've tried to go as greebly as I can for exposed engine bits, and fresh off my ADU builds I've put those spoiler parts back to work as intakes. Nothing hugely complicated here, but I'm satisfied with the skeletal appearance and think that it came out alright. Plenty of room to iterate on this.
I was trying to keep it as small as possible, it's about 18ish studs wide and long, so hopefully I'll be able to fit builds of that/similar size into this year's SHIP, which I'm envisioning as something of a mobile home/workshop/garage such as one might find on a Star Wars-inspired racing circuit series.
(I think I just want to build something that looks like a LMH/LMdH prototype racer but in space. Honestly, the Ferrari 499P already looks like a spaceship that just happens to have wheels!)
