Hazel's reaction in the background was entirely typical to the reactions I got walking around Capas with Rosalind's lovely purple parasol. But the sunburn I got in Pagudpud was so bad that I had to either block the sun or hide quivering in my room.

The nest where this owlet were located was destroyed in a wildfire. Two owlets where rescue and are currently growing up under The Costa Rican Raptor Foundation supervision. They will be released to the wild when they reach adulthood.
As you may know, lots of resources and money goes into releasing these owls to the wild.
The Costa Rican Raptor Foundation (A non profit organization) is in charge of this project and its doing everything it can to release this owls succesfully.
