Scored myself some sound proofing as the doors of the Aygo are quite flimsy. Sounds proofing will make the music sound better and make for a better driving experience.

I had the unique opportunity to photograph the Missouri Symphony's "Sound Bites" event at Cooper's Ridge this past weekend. The event paired food offerings from Peachtree Catering & Events with music from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Conductor Wilbur Lin led the orchestra. Violinist Rachell Ellen Wong flew in from Manhattan to play the solos. Please support the Missouri Symphony's mission to bring classical music to our community. Charlie Brown Superstar is also one of the first House music dj's in the area and was the resident at the legendary local venue Gyrationz (the first club to feature an all EDM format) He is known for his marathon sets of Deep House and Electro.
In addition, Charlie Brown Superstar is an LBA Records recording artist and has been composing original electronic music since 1999. He did sampling for and toured with the popular local rock band, Chum, during the mid-90's and is currently a member of the critically acclaimed drone/doom metal band, Hyatari. His influences include everything from Mercury Rev, Gary Numan, Curtis Mayfield, H.G. Lewis, robots and even B-movies.

Despite the cloud covering the area, we decided to get out and do some photography this morning. We where hoping that the fog would have burned off before we got to our location, but luckily for me it hadn't before we passed along the Possession Sound. The only thing that I would have liked better was if the water had been calmer for a smoother reflection.

Sound for Sight is raising funds and awareness towards Sightsavers’ work eliminating the World’s leading cause of preventable blindness, trachoma.
Trachoma is a bacterial infection linked to inadequate water and sanitation and passed on by flies. It is referred to as ‘neglected tropical diseases’ and can be prevented and ultimately eliminated entirely.
The Sound for Sight audience will be taken on a spectacular sensory experience during the show that has been carefully curated by Sound for Sight Founder, Laura Westcott and ‘Mo Pleasure’ the former Music Director of Earth, Wind & Fire.
Charlotte Kelly, Soul II Soul
Charlotte rose to fame in the mid 1990s as one of the lead singers of British R&B group Soul II Soul, with hit songs “Back to Life” and “Keep on Movin”.
Charlotte was born blind at birth with no sight at all in her left eye and virtually none in her right eye.
“I am very excited and delighted to perform at Sound for Sight because being blind from birth, sound is one of the most important tools we possess as blind and visually impaired people. So, treatment and eradication of blindness is a blessing for the growth on the human experience.” – Charlotte Kelly
Denise Leigh
Denise made her operatic debut in 2003 by winning Channel 4’s Operatunity and playing the role of Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the London Coliseum.
Since then, Denise has sung all over the world and was honoured to headline the London 2012 Paralympic opening ceremony.
Both Denise and her husband Stefan (who will accompany Denise on piano) are visually impaired with a visually impaired son.

Mo Pleasure
Mo is a renowned multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. Mo began his professional music career playing bass guitar with Ray Charles. In 1993, Mo became a member of the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire, and ascended to become the band’s musical director from 1994-2001.
Mo has performed with Stevie Wonder, Nile Rogers, Bette Midler, Roberta Flack, Amy Winehouse to name a few… He also played keys for Michael Jackson on his final comeback tour at the O2.
Dave Swift
Dave joined Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra in 1991 as his resident bass player, and has played with him ever since! He is one of the UK’s finest, high-profile bass players and boasts a musician’s portfolio that is second to none, having played for an array of renowned artists, from George Benson and Chaka Khan to Eric Clapton and Paul Simon.
Professor Dan Reinstein
Dan is a pioneer in laser eye surgery and Founded the London Vision Clinic. He is also a very talented saxophonist and often accompanies Mo Pleasure at London’s iconic 606 Club.
Georgia & The Vintage Youth
A 22 year old Essex Girl with big blonde hair, a spine-tingling voice and a master of the retro jazz/swing style of music that is both vintage and fresh (hence the name of the band).
Georgia’s sound is contagious and subconsciously gets you tapping your feet, whilst her ballads are stripped back allowing Georgia’s strong and iconic vocal to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
Joe Slater
A 22-year-old lad from Liverpool who blurs the lines between Blues, Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll whilst taking inspiration from The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and Oasis.

(April 19, 2010) "Sounds like Universe" was a special concert at the Deep Space of the Ars Electronica Center. The "Klangwerkstatt" of the Musikschule Linz played works by Arvo Pärt, Johann Sebastian Bach, Karl Heinz Stockhausen and others. The AEC provided "Uniview", an impressive work of 3D animation that shows the entire known universe.

Multimedia installations invite hands-on interaction so that visitors can explore the tools of rock 'n' roll through electric guitars, drums, samplers, mixing consoles, and more.
THE BIG DRUM
The heart of Sound Lab, The Big Drum recalls the early rhythms our ancestors played around the fire. You don't need any special skills to play it, other than the ones you'd bring to a conversation. Just listen and answer back.
TRIOS
Each of the tall semi-enclosed structures on Sound Lab's main floor contains three interactive instruments, including guitar, bass, keyboard or drums. These instruments use sophisticated audio, computer graphics and MIDI to guide you through a variety of learning activities, whether it's learning to play "Louie Louie," or discovering what a 12-bar blues is. You can also choose to forego a lesson to play instruments on your own or with friends and family. Acoustically optimized dividers in each trio let you rock your socks off without disturbing anyone else.
SOUNDPROOF ROOMS
Twelve acoustically isolated rooms known as studio pods, contain interactive devices, gear, and traditional instruments. Take a lesson, jam with others in the room, try out vocals, and learn about the art of mixing. Special reverberation technology lets you adjust the sound so it's as big as an amphitheater, or as intimate as a living room.
JAM STUDIOS
Check out the state-of-the-art Jam Studio where you can record your own song using drums, guitars, keyboards, and vocals, then download and share with your friends for free.
AUDIO TECHNOLOGY INTERACTIVES
How do guitar players make such different sounds? Can an audio engineer really fix it in the mix? Technology has played a huge role in the creation of the sounds of rock 'n' roll, both behind the scenes in the recording studio and up on the bandstand. This family-friendly activity combines all of the musical ranges into one instrument for three people. Whether it be the low tones of the bass or the high notes of the flute, you can explore limitless possibilities with this interactive offering perfect for younger visitors. Try your hand at the marimba, located outside Sound Lab.

Milford Sound (Piopiotahi in Māori) is a fjord in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. It has been judged the world's top travel destination in an international survey,and is acclaimed as New Zealand's most famous tourist destination. Rudyard Kipling had previously called it the eighth Wonder of the World.
Milford Sound is named after Milford Haven in Wales, while the Cleddau River which flows into the sound is also named for its Welsh namesake. The Māori named the sound Piopiotahi after the thrush-like piopio bird, now extinct. Piopiotahi means "a single piopio", harking back to the legend of Māui trying to win immortality for mankind - when Maui died in the attempt, a piopio was said to have flown here in mourning.

Milford Sound is a peculiar place -- it's stunningly beautiful, but when I went it was so packed with tourists that I couldn't appreciate the landscape. There's only one way in and out of town, and once you get there, there isn't any room to spread out (no hiking trails out of town, for example). I drove, which obviously isn't as eco-friendly as the people coming in on buses, but it enabled me to come early and stay late -- once the buses had all left, and the sightseeing planes and helicopters had landed, and all the tour boats were docked, I could really appreciate the beauty of the landscape.
A side note about the people on buses -- many (though certainly I won't condemn them all) of them seemed to be the worst kind of tourist. I spent an hour wandering around a glacial valley on the way in, and I saw bus after bus pull into the parking area and disgorge a mass of people, who then proceeded to take a picture of themselves with the landscape in the back, and then they all got back on the bus and drove away. Few, if any, of them actually experienced the landscape or interacted with it in any way. I realize buses are on schedules and that you don't have time for an extended stroll, but it seemed to me like Photoshop would've done the job just as well. To me, it seems like they miss the point of travel -- heck, by my definition they're NOT traveling. Travel should be interactive, it should be exploration, it should be discovery and experience. It involves all five senses. This just looked like TV in 3-D. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they get something out of it that I don't see, but it sure looked to me like they wasted a lot of time and money just to say they had been there.
Anyway, I've gotten slightly off topic... This is Milford Sound, in New Zealand, during an uncharacteristic (I'm told) dry spell of nearly two weeks. That meant that the sky was rather boring, so I used some of the local plants to frame Mitre Peak. I quite like the evening light on the peak, though.

The installation in the Hoge Ruimtes (the high-ceilinged spaces) can be considered as an instrument built by the artist that autonomously performs a composition. Circuit 03 plays with the feedback principle to produce sound. Feedback is created when microphones and loudspeakers are aimed at each other. The shapes of the tubes, the resonance patterns and the placement of the loudspeaker are only a few of the parameters determining the pitch of the sounds produced. Using these parameters, the artist Vandesande produced a composition. However, the sound composition is not a freestanding given, but also is created by the special resonance of the space and changes when the visitor changes positions and moves around.

"Dripping sounds" by Federico Muelas.
A sort of silver screen about one meter in diameter, onto which light is projected through a little water tank. Ink drops fall into it, creating a smoke like pattern. The projected image is used to create different sounds, triggered by light sensors on the silver screen ... .
Fascinating, dreamy, and creating a strange mood in the room.
