The sea is pure therapy. It has a unique ability to completely calm and reset me. I crave it when I'm not there. Much like the mountains but they present a bigger challenge. A regular dose of both is vital to my wellbeing though. This coastline has got me through some tricky times in the past so I am conscious never to take it for granted. Craving a more soothing color palette today, inspired by the Serenity Style Counting Waves gacha at Tres Chic. Lucky to get the rare Bungalow within a few tries! While there, I saw this stunning dress by United Colors in the perfect shade of sky blue.
Little Bones' Camila hair, all full-volume and big curls, is still available at the current round of Collabor88 in gorgeous textures. What did we do before Nova's Animated Styler HUD? All I know is that I never had to again search for hair placed over one shoulder or behind the ears since she premiered the HUD last fall.
This round of Tres Chic ends June 5th and Collabor88's current round ends June 6th

As darkness creeps in and turns the skies pitch black,
she stands, silently by the partially opened window,
the light breeze, playfully teases the curtains,
and they, at the same time caresses her cheeks,
she needed that, the soft gentle unconditional touch that soothes her weeping heart and her tired soul.
Her eyes fixed upwards. lost in conversation with the stars,
somehow, the stars understood her woes,
somehow, they were able to console her,
and they stayed with her till she sleeps..
cradling her and guarding her,
as she rest, only to wake up and live another day...
My Siri love,
You are one of the shooting stars that I wished upon.
Thank you, for your friendship, love and care..
Thank you, for being an inspiration
I love you...
..... it is a painting. The soothing colours are softer than how they appear here. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the artist. Hopefully I don't have it upside down as it was hung sideways because of space restrictions.
This image was photographed at the MaST Center Aquarium in Redondo Beach, Des Moines, WA.
My editing process was to create a soothing neutral toned image with pastel colors. A long exposure technique worked well with a soft pale blue sky.

A Laggar Falcon (Falco jugger) was carefully watching its surroundings for the hunting on a concrete pillar. The personality of the Falcon was so majestically rendered here by those butter smooth bokeh of the backdrop desert. Pics was taken from Desert National Park, Rajasthan, India.
It felt good to not "have" to get out, but I have to admit that I still had the urge to shoot. The lack of pressure was very soothing, as I had time to take the scene and relax. The light wasn't right, no big deal, as I can go another day. No pressure!
I thought it would be fitting that my first shot of the year should be a waterfall, as I have a thing for them and this frozen scene is very appealing.
Looks great in the Light Box
Tomorrow marks 9 years since my life went a topsy turvy. At least I have you in my life to calm my nerves through a hard day. <3

It was a rather cold, dark and cloudy day at Lower Klamath NWR, but we were very glad to see these Greater White-Fronted Geese before they head to the high arctic to breed. They make a lovely, soothing sound, and it was a delight to just sit and listen to them in addition to photographing them. At the California/ Oregon border.
I still don't have anything new to post so I dug through some older shots and decided to make this my last upload for 2010. I want to thank you all for your inspiration and support over the last year, its been great!!! Wishing each of you nothing but the best in 2011. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!
Uplifted is the stone --
And all mankind is risen --
We all remain thine own.
And vanished is our prison.
All troubles flee away
Thy golden bowl before,
For Earth and Life give way
At the last and final supper.
To the marriage Death doth call --
The virgins standeth back --
The lamps burn lustrous all --
Of oil there is no lack --
If the distance would only fill
With the sound of you walking alone
And that the stars would call
Us all with human tongues and tone.
Unto thee, O Mary
A thousand hearts aspire.
In this life of shadows
Thee only they desire.
In thee they hope for delivery
With visionary expectation --
If only thou, O holy being
Could clasp them to thy breast.
With bitter torment burning,
So many who are consumed
At last from this world turning
To thee have looked and fled,
Helpful thou hast appeared
To so many in pain.
Now to them we come,
To never go out again.
At no grave can weep
Any who love and pray.
The gift of Love they keep,
From none can it be taken away.
To soothe and quiet his longing,
Night comes and inspires --
Heaven's children round him thronging
Watch and guard his heart.
Have courage, for life is striding
To endless life along;
Stretched by inner fire,
Our sense becomes transfigured.
One day the stars above
Shall flow in golden wine,
We will enjoy it all,
And as stars we will shine.
The love is given freely,
And Separation is no more.
The whole life heaves and surges
Like a sea without a shore.
Just one night of bliss --
One everlasting poem --
And the sun we all share
Is the face of God.

Wheat fields in Kangra valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh,India.
Kangra is my favourite place in Himachal. It is (thankfully) not as popular with tourists as Shimla and Kullu- Manali but I think in the springtime few places in India can rival its sublime beauty. With its picturesque villages with their houses of slate covered roofs, wheatfields of soothing green, orchards in blossom, gushing mountain streams and the glistening white peaks of the Dhauladhars as a stunning backdrop it is no less than a paradise on earth
Might be worth a look in large
A pleasing sound comes from a stream flowing over stones. It does have a greatly soothing effect, because the gurgle of the stream comes complete with a cool breeze on a hot day.
This is a shot of the river Kalarrytikos or Calarrhyticus flowing through the Quiassa watermills in Epirus, Greece. It was with great pleasure that I shot the crystal clear water with streaks, as it was during the recent heatwave.
