Goodnight..

It was difficult in the previous shot to get those rippling abstracts of the yachts.. err sticky up bits in their entirety and so I bought out the details of that cable drum when in actual fact it was in deep shadow. You can tell I know zero about boats lol..I am not entirely certain a yacht (is) a boat but it floats doesn't it. I have no idea what sort of boat that Scilly one is in this shot but it is definitely afloat and the colours that evening were very beautiful, so although not as sleek as those yachts there was a beautiful mood and it was very pleasant walking along the prom and I do like to be beside the seaside and I do like to be beside the sea but there was no band playing tiddely om pom pom ;))

That dates me if nothing else does lol....

I was just puzzled by the exif data just now as this shot was taken before the previous shot so I must have changed camera's to get the slightly wider 24mm to get the full height of those Yachts. Jonathan keeps telling me I do NOT need an even wider angle lens but...I dunno

But I like it. Taken using a Sony A7ii with a vintage Nikkor 85mm Ai-s lens mounted and used at its widest aperture. Primarily used as a portrait lens I had a go at using it for its close focusing abilities. Its the same lens that i got the crop of a surfer from but I really should have used the micro nikkor 55mm 2.8 lens. Well I had a go anyway and this was the result with no added saturation but there is not a big enough area in sharp focus for my liking yet is has a certain appeal, for me anyway :)

Another Shot of the Staircase in the "Lenbachhaus" Museum in Munich. Taken with the Sony A7 Mark 2 and the Leitz / Leica SUMMILUX 1.4/75 mm at F=1.4.

The Lenbachhaus in Munich contains an art museum and is part of Munich's "Kunstareal" (the "art area").

The city of Munich acquired the building in 1924 and opened a museum there in 1929. The Lenbachhaus was expanded between 1927 and 1929 by Hans Grässel and again between 1969 and 1972 by Heinrich Volbehr and Rudolf Thönessen. The latest wing was closed to the public in 2009 to allow the expansion and restoration of the Lenbachhaus by Norman Foster; the 1972 extension was demolished to make way for the new building. The museum reopened in May 2013. The architect placed the new main entrance on Museumsplatz in front of the Propylaea. The new facade, clad in metal tubes made of an alloy of copper and aluminum, will weather with time.

Shot wide open using A Sony A7M2 with a vintage CZ Pancolar 1.8mm lens with a Helicoid attached. So, Sun Sea, Sky and Sea Holly.

Although shot manually at the widest aperture I still had to dial in a full stop over to get this scene as seen - if you understand what I mean lol...

I was puzzled myself but hoping that in due course I get to know why...maybe because I attached the Helicoid which truth to tell I am still just getting used to using. I got the shot I was after though which gave me great satisfaction and the colour and lighting are spot on as seen...a belly shot of course and needing to be helped to my feet but determined to get what I could before it becomes impossible...Sue :)

Shot with Sony A7 Mark 2 and the Leitz/Leica SUMMILUX-M 1.4/50mm at F=1.4.

I hope to catch up as soon as I can. I think only realising it is Christmas Day this Sunday about Monday didn't help lol... We don't eat Sunday dinner on a Sunday and the weeks run into one another. Mind you I seem to live in a world of my own most of the time anyway but you do have my heartiest wishes for whatever holiday you celebrate in December and New Year..dear Phyllis helped me get my Tag option back but rushing around again at the minute.. Tried my Christmas present out for this greeting card to you all (another vintage lens ) so Jonathan can wrap it and put it under the Christmas tree now. The bokeh from the Christmas tree lights ok and just incidental, the bokeh I hope for is more that of the green bauble far left and the orangy colour bauble above the head of the Stag ornament. So I have high hopes of the beautiful bokeh I was after :). I left the noise it created by ISO of 2000 taken indoors hand held.

Shot with the Sony A7 Mii and the Leitz/Leica SUMMILUX 1.4/75 at F=1.4. Searching for a Maximum of Minimalism I took this Shot with a Razor sharp Focus. I have to admit that the Result is somehow abstract, but why not????

Taken at the Lenbachhaus this Afternoon.

The Lenbachhaus was built as a Florentine-style villa for the painter Franz von Lenbach between 1887 and 1891 by Gabriel von Seidl and was expanded 1927-1929 by Hans Grässel and again 1969-1972 by Heinrich Volbehr and Rudolf Thönessen. Some of the rooms have kept their original design.

This was taken on my return from a walk around the back streets of St Ives that I shall probably be boring you with soon. I wasn't actually looking for people shots but had just finished my stroll and got three people shots within minutes of one another within a small area ...the fact all were relaxed and not looking at me made it much easier but its still out of my comfort zone ..
