Solar PV roof - I love this idea of integrating the PV panels into a building element. Not only is it practical, but I reckon it looks great too!

GRID Alternatives is a stellar organization whose mission is to provide solar panel installation, at little or no cost, to select low-income families. This mission has three distinct impacts. It provides free energy to homeowners in need, allowing them to save money for food, medicine, and what matters most; It provides a learning opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the budding environmental industry; & It works with the local government to help reduce emissions and to produce cleaner air for all. This series was from a recent install with the crew in the New York Tri-state area.

Volunteers, North Star Solar Bears installation crew, and Bold Nebraska install solar panels in the path of the Keystone XL pipeline on Jim and Chris Carlson's farm near Silver Creek, Nebraska on July 29, 2017.
First "Solar XL" installation of USA-made solar panels in the path of the Keystone XL pipeline. Volunteers joined Jim Knopik, proprietor of family-owned rural solar installer North Star Solar Bears, to install solar panels on the farm of Jim and Chris Carlson -- who turned down an offer of $307,000 from TransCanada to build the Keystone XL pipeline across their land -- and instead are building solar in the path of the pipeline on their land in Nebraska.

My new Solio. It charges from the sun or from a wall adapter then can be used to charge up an ipod, a cellphone, gps or other electronic gadgets one may want while away from home. I hope to find an adapter that will let me charge the batteries in my 30d and or a AA and AAAs.
