Yes, still working on the batteries. The transformer and inverter combo powered the 240v air compresser in the foreground without any problems.
Output from the UC San Diego photovoltaic variability tool during a period of high variability in solar radiation (black line). A 1.2 megawatt central station photovoltaic plant (green) reduces variability, but the variability is even smaller for a 1.2 megawatt distributed photovoltaic system (red). The output is shown in relative units to facilitate comparison.

Photovoltaic films installed on the top of the engineering building at Southern Illinois Univeristy Edwardsville.
- 2.04 Ач;
- 10.95 Втч.

Location: Seiyun, Hadhramaut, Yemen
Date: February 1, 2025
Description: In June 2022, through the Rapid Financing Facility (RFF) project, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) provided solar-powered, three-wheeled motorcycles (tuk-tuks) to those whose livelihoods were negatively impacted by COVID-19 and the ongoing conflict in Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen.
Since tuk-tuks use an electric motor, battery pack, and solar panel, they are part of an important effort in Yemen to reduce emissions and serve as a more socially and economically viable means of transportation.
After tuk-tuks began operating on the streets to ferry citizens between the main cities in the Hadhramaut Valley and Desert, a significant demand for them was observed. This demand is attributed to the advantages of these vehicles, such as lower transportation fares due to their solar energy operation. These features encouraged many traders to import similar solar-powered vehicles, leading to an oversaturation in the local market.
