This isolation gave me an opportunity to repair (again) my Bronica EC. I'm not saying "my old Bronica", as it's as old as me, and I don't feel like that yet. So, the camera had a little water-related accident a few months ago. It was not a very nice view inside when I opened the covers... Anyway, now it works again!
Today while out exercising (slow walk for me). I noticed a couple of families with young kids down the road had pretty chalk drawings on their drive and footpath. It bought a smile to my face. Then I figured I haven't really grown up so I could join in. When I got home I found some chalk and drew a cartoon of my own.

Today is for my favorite Mr. Big. This old man is going through some health things. He spent Saturday night at the ER. (He's home after a procedure and is quite himself right now.) He has more tests scheduled for Thursday. He claimed me as his human from the very start and I am hoping with everything I have that the outcome is good.

Nach der großen Coronademonstration in Berlin hat die bizarre deutsche Regierung beschlossen, hart durchzugreifen. Obwohl die Frankfurter Coronaproteste im Gegensatz zu anderen Demonstrationen bisher immer friedlich waren, hat man ein großes Polizeiaufgebot in Bewegung gesetzt und die rechtswidrige Maskenpflicht bei Demonstrationen zum Anlass genommen, den Protestspaziergang zu stoppen. Selbstverständlich war kein Teilnehmer bereit, eine Maske anzulegen. Bei extremer Hitze (bisher heißester Tag des Jahres) und trotz der zahlreichen anderen Spaziergänger, die auch keine Maske tragen mussten.

Although the Frankfurt corona protests, unlike other demonstrations, have always been peaceful, a large police force has been set in motion and the illegal requirement to wear masks during demonstrations has been used as an argument to stop the protest walk. Of course, no participant was willing to put on a mask. In extreme heat (the hottest day of the year so far) and despite the numerous other walkers who also did not have to wear a mask.

I had to drop my prescription renewal into the chemists today and was worried that I didn't know how things were done now everything has changed. But everything was very organised. The queue remained outside, observing social distancing, while one of the shop staff came out, suitably protected with face visor and lab coat, to see what people wanted.
At the local doc-in-the-box which is doing a huge business in COVID tests. There are always lines outside, but what's nice is they take your info and send a text you when they're ready (hours later) so there's really no one in the waiting room. I do question, however, the logic of this waiting room. If two people were seated in the first two available seats, they would be as close as a couple in one of those s-shaped loveseats.
