A big bunch of crocuses in my garden, welcoming the sun without any thought of social distancing - how happy they are without realizing!
to be allowed to go for a walk during this troubled time. We are fortunate to be allowed to do so. Some countries have had to bring in measures to stop people from even leaving their homes except for essential things. I do feel my walks with Marnie are essential for both of us. I'm so fortunate to have this beautiful place just 3 miles away from home. And what a glorious morning it was ! No social distancing to worry about - we only saw a couple of people a fair distance away, in all the time we were out.
To all those who aren't as fortunate as I am, who perhaps can't take advantage of a walk in the sun, or exercise... or worse, are ill, we're thinking of you now.
Perhaps you'd like to dance along to this great song. (I know, showing my age) !!
In these times of social distancing, I'm giving you a virtual hug. Hope that's OK !

MY PRAYER FOR YOU – Alisa Turner
Little Billy falls asleep
do you remember he cannot speak
but still he tries to tell the others
keep the distance sisters and brothers
Chloe and Harry fall asleep
unaware of Little Billy's speech
they are comfy; they are warm
safe indoors and free from harm
Today was such a sunny day
they spent a long time out to play
I saw a pair of Goldfinch birds
not seen them here before or heard
And I saw a butterfly
a sign of hope then with a sigh
he flew away above the hedge
but left behind him the sweetest message
The skies are blue and clear today
but for a few wispy clouds across the bay
I really had a lovely time
in my gardens so sublime
I pray for you that you will be
always safe and always healthy
and if my words only reach just one
then my eyes will light up with the sun
and know my purpose here on Earth has only just begun …

Happy Caturday :-)
The lads don't care much for blankets, but are hoping that these cushions will be acceptable :-)

this was given to me upon my retirement - it always reminds me of good times spent doing good things with good people !

Baby geese, called goslings, are incredibly impressionable and will follow virtually anything that moves, thinking it to be their mother. They have been known to follow dogs, ducks, and humans, and this behavior can be quite endearing.
Another photo from my escape to the park, walking and getting active for two hours, following the "Stay At Home" order. Here we are allowed to exercise and walk in the parks, following social distancing and using face masks.

Another re-edit of an image that I'd taken during a trip to the Baltic Sea island Usedom several years ago. Duly slid for Sliders Sunday – you can find the almost SooC original upload in the first comment. In the original, un-cropped image the beach line is almost exactly in the middle, because I hadn't dared to get any closer to the person that was lying there so picturesquely (and, as an afterthought from pandemic times: perfectly socially distanced). And since I had been so far away the gulls are mere spots of white in the distance, but I think they are still easily identifiable as gulls, albeit pretty impressionistic – or even pointillistic – gulls ;)
HSS, Everyone, and have a safe and nice new week ahead!
