We were at a party
His ear lobe fell in the deep
Someone reached in and grabbed it
It was a rock lobster
We were at the beach
Everybody had matching towels
Somebody went under a dock
And there they saw a rock
It wasn't a rock
It was a rock lobster
Motion in the ocean
His air hose broke
Lots of trouble
Lots of bubble
He was in a jam
S'in a giant clam
Down, down
Underneath the waves
Mermaids wavin'
Wavin' to mermen
Wavin' sea fans
Sea horses sailin'
Dolphins wailin'
Red snappers snappin'
Clam shells clappin'
Muscles flexin'
Flippers flippin'
Down, down
Let's rock!
Boy's in bikinis
Girls in surfboards
Everybody's rockin'
Everybody's fruggin'
Twistin' 'round the fire
Havin' fun
Bakin' potatoes
Bakin' in the sun
Put on your noseguard
Put on the Lifeguard
Pass the tanning butter
Here comes a stingray
There goes a manta-ray
In walked a jelly fish
There goes a dog-fish
Chased by a cat-fish
In flew a sea robin
Watch out for that piranha
There goes a narwhal
HERE COMES A BIKINI WHALE! -------THE B52's!
I did nothing to this chip, besides placing em on my napkin and snappin a photo of the little guy. I found um in my bag of salt and vinegar kettle chips.
Like on a large HO layout with Bachmann EZ Snap Track (C), BNSF MOW workers and their contractors replace the track on Main #1 through the station at Fullerton California.
The last time this was done was 14 years ago and thanks to the strike at the port, the early part of December turned out to be a good time to do this project.
I would like to thank the crew who were gracious enough to allow me to photograph their activities that night - the opening in the crowd watching the loader was not by accident.

Still hiding under the tin roof, with the sky as black as Saturn`s Cloak ` the Machine Gun chatter from the rain barely audible.
"THOR" decided to throw a Bolt of Lightening that made the hairs on the back of your hand stand on end, show how Black could become an Electric Blue in nano seconds ,and make your head reverberate as though you were standing inside Big Ben
It wer` close or seemed close at the time , under a kilometer away -- looking at the photo, but I was glad to be there Snappin`

Oh what a night it was in the land of Swirl'n mic Mad-ness! From the get-go we knew this inaugural kick-off at the NEW Absinthe Lounge was gonna be one to remember!
As Swirve started their jazzy madness, the crowd found their way into and filled the VIP lounge with their heads boppin' and their fingers snappin'. As the last notes were fading away, hosts Johnny O & MH Clay opened up the stage to our featured the mad-tastic dynamic duo Opalina Salas & Maggie Smith. There was no doubt that they would deliver a must-see kinda show and sure enough, it was something mighty divine to see and feel! If you were there, you know what we mean. If not, well... your loss, truly. Sorry.
After a brief intermission, the mic got opened up to the mad ones who filled the Lounge and what a night of the beat-utifullest poetry and music ensued! Here’s a shout out to all who graced us with their words, their songs, their divine madnesses…

HUGE thanks to Swirve (Chris Curiel, Tamitha Curiel, & Gerard Bendiks) for keeping the beat til the wee hours of the night. We got taken to another dimension of time and space on the wings of their jazzy madness!
And as always, big THANKS to the patron saint of the loco local mad ones, Kevin, owner of Absinthe Lounge, who has allowed us to continue swirling our madness upon his stage.
And finally we would like to thank ALL of you who freely shared their hand claps, finger-snaps, hoots and howls with all the mad ones who got up on this sacred mad swirlin’ mic.
We look forward to ALL the m-adventures to come! Stay tuned…
With Mad Love,

Walkin', talkin', snappin' with the sublime Qua two weeks ago at the Experience Music Project in Seattle.
Just snappin' some shots working out the kinks in my understanding of the Lumix. I shot it, trimmed it...and there it is.
James Dewitt Yancey better known under the names "J. Dilla" and "Jay Dee" produced a short but popular underground beat track ( an unfinished production tape) known popularly as " Snappin Necks in Africa" It is from a 1999 tape known as "The New Slave Beat CD" or "The New Slave". J. Dilla sampled the Dorothy Ashby composition and original performance of the song "Wax and Wane" from the 1970 Dorothy Ashby album "The Rubaiyat of Dorothy Ashby"
J. Dilla was an internationally known and respected producer who worked anonymously for years, other hip hop producers taking credit for his work. The story of J.Dilla is both long, convoluted and tragic. Part of his story is provided here from Wikipedia.com.
James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006),[1] better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer who emerged from the mid-1990s underground hip-hop scene in Detroit, Michigan. According to his obituary at NPR.org, he "was one of the music industry's most influential hip-hop artists, working for big-name acts including A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, MF Doom, The Pharcyde and Common."[2] Yancey died in 2006 of the blood disease Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
Mr. Yancey was celebrated during his life and after his death for the beats he made, which tended to be unique, warm and different from most of his contemporaries. On albums by Common, Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest, D'Angelo and his own group, Slum Village, Mr. Yancey pioneered a laid-back, sometimes spaced-out form of hip-hop.
His cult of fans stretches around the world, especially in Europe and Japan.

I never found out their names , so I`ve called them the Princesses -- many thanks for allowing me to photograph you
The uniformed guy driving this car suggested that I was blowing the cover of his undercover officer by shooting the marked vehicle while the undercover guy was sitting in it. "Who do you work faw? I noticed you snappin' my krooza." I think they were looking for unlicensed vendors.

Walkin', talkin' and snappin' with the incredible Qua at the Bumpershoot Music Festival in Seattle.....
On a snooping trip this blustery Sunday, outside St Peter's School in Gainford. This was once a school, a correction institution and finally a care home before closing its doors in 1997.
Two developers have got their hands onto it, but one went into receivership, and the other has done... well, nothing. This red brick gothic phantasy would make a cracking house in this picture-perfect village.
All we could see were a gang of youths, a woolly sheep and a neighbour watching us with slight suspicion. But we didn't do anything illegal, just snappin' some pictures, alright.
This is number 33 of 100 in my 100 Strangers photo project.
This is Cliff Leatherbarrow from Wellington, part time Substitute Teacher for Primary School, part time Music Teacher for guitar and bass guitar, and part time Musician. Basically a Musician with other gigs on the side :) Guitarist in the Jazz Trio "Finger Snappin' Goodness", along with Stranger #31 Mark and Stranger #32 Michael.
Cliff's been playing guitar for about 16 years. He has too many musical mentors to pick one favourite. He met Mark and Michael through various musical circles.
Cliff was the last of the three to get his photo taken, and his first reaction was to grab a footstool to sit on, and immediately went into a classic "guitarist and his guitar" pose. I joked that he had done this before, to which he replied, "no, but I've seen this pose before"...haha :) Thanks for making this one easy for me Cliff!
Remember, if you like jazz, drop by Shed 5 on Sunday afternoons to check these guys out.
"What was the last thing you ate before becoming Strangers #33 Cliff?" ..a banana.
Thanks for participating Cliff.
You can see the alternate portraits of Cliff in my 100 Strangers Alternates set, and you can see my other strangers in my 100 Strangers set, and strangers from other participating photographers in the 100 Strangers flickr pool. Learn more about the 100 Strangers photo project here.

For a variety of reasons, not all of them rational, I have decided to mess around in Facebook. You can find me at:
The gentleman was sitting here minding his own business, we saw him as we were riding by.. sweet hubby knew I wanted his pic so he circled around and I was scared to death to take his pic cause I didn't want to make him mad or feel bad.. as I was snappin the pic, he lifted his head and gave us a big smile. Sorry I missed the smile.. to told him God Bless you and thank you!..
