The sea is like a smooth criminal, its tidal waves sweep in covering everything.................
It is their doom.........
As he came into the window
Was a sound of a crescendo
He came into her apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
She was sitting at the table
He could see she was unable
So she ran into the bedroom
She was struck down
It was her doom
Annie, are you okay, you okay, you okay, Annie?

Maximianus Herculius, first reign, 286-305. Medallion (Bronze, 38 mm, 35.10 g, 12 h), Rome, 297-298. VIRTVS MAXIMIANI AVG Laureate bust of Maximianus to left, wearing cuirass with aegis and holding the reins of the forepart of a horse to his right with his right hand and with a shield ornamented with the Roman Wolf and Twins over his left shoulder. Rev. MONETA AVGG The three Monetae standing facing, their heads to left, each holding a cornucopia with her left hand and a scale over a pile of coins with her right. Bastien, Buste, pl. 140, 1 and pp. 550-551. Cohen 405. Dressel 184. Gnecchi 18, pl. 127, 6. Very rare and particularly impressive. Grey-brown-green patina. Somewhat smoothed in cleaning, otherwise, extremely fine.
Bastien connects this medallion, with its exceptional obverse portrait, with military victories in Mauritania that were won when Maximianus was personally in command of the army. It can be related to another medallion of Maximianus, with a similar portrait but with a variant reverse (Gnecchi, pl. 127, 10) that can, in turn, be related to a series of folles (RIC VI, 10-30, but especially 27-30) that commemorate the arrival of the emperor in Carthage.

A combination of barrel distortion and a natural lean means that this particular Iron Man is doing his best Michael Jackson impression in honour to the King of Pop.
Also, my D90 should be waiting for me when I get home and I'm hoping to give it its first outing during the worldwide photo walk around Liverpool tomorrow. Anyone else taking part in a photo walk near them?
Have a great weekend people.

I was excited to find a snake specie that I've never seen before, and have long wanted to. Smooth Green Snake.
Another for the Playground Abstract series. This is part of a series of three slides, one clearly a much bumpier ride than the other.
I used to SB700 speedlights diffused by the attached diffusion panel. 1 light was right of camera below camera height. the second one was to my right angling down about three and a half feet away.both speedlights were triggered by iTTL. I've used vignetting to bring attention to my face. Camera was controlled by timed remote. speed light by camera was at 1/128 power the speedlight closer to me was set to 1/64 power. I think this was the settings because I just completed another shoot. I think I left the settings the same from the first shoot.
Went for a walk along the San Juan River in Pagosa Springs and found this little beauty out sunning. These little snakes seldom try to bite.
Our beautiful world, pass it on.
