The late afternoon sun reflects off one of the many glass and steel skyscrapers of New York's financial district. The recently renovated green building, painted to echo the patina of the nearby Statue of Liberty, is the Battery Maritime Terminal, home of the ferry slips for the Governor Island ferry, and is an official NYC Landmark. This was taken on the last return trip of the season in 2008. -- October 5, 2008

As Summer into Autumn slips by Emily Dickinson

As Summer into Autumn slips

And yet we sooner say

"The Summer" than "the Autumn," lest

We turn the sun away,

And almost count it an Affront

The presence to concede

Of one however lovely, not

The one that we have loved --

So we evade the charge of Years

On one attempting shy

The Circumvention of the Shaft

Of Life's Declivity.

Slips ............Mmmmmmm

It slips away

And all your money won't another minute buy

All we are is dust in the wind

Here's an old re-edited image from Lake Crabtree for my "The Lake" series of photos.

Day 148 of 365. No matter how hard we try, time slips away like sand in our hands.

Unless you have really big hands and a tight grip :)

I just love Nikon's CLS sytem and it's high-speed sync capability. I think I'm gonna use it more often from now on. This one is shot in 1/2000s.

Thanks to my wife, Ellen, for lending her hand.

Slips are so under rated these days. This is a satin half slip with lace hem embellishment I still have and used to have the matching camisole, panty, and bra from a 4 item set ! The panty had lace panels on each side and the bra had the same lace running long the bra cups and was one of my only few front closure bras! I had purchased the set many years ago in a privately owned lingerie store in Westchester county NY, the kind of lingerie stores you don't see anywhere any longer. The shop was jammed packed with slips of all kinds, petti pants, bras, panties, pajamas, nightgowns, robes, and peignoirs. It was really a girls dream store !

NS 130 slips through Woodstock, AL in this frame up by way of an old SP auto rack. Had hopes to have this fall into place on a sunnier day but the auto rack was moved before that materialized.

Slips really help! The dress slipped right on--easy! What it is is 5 1/4 inch stretch lace stitched into a tube. I'm going to ship all my Phicens with a slip underneath.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

On my last full day in Washington, I met up with my friend Philip Kuntz and he was kind enough to take me on a tour of Idaho. It was the first time that we had met face to face after knowing one another online. What a great day we had getting to know one another.

One of the places he took me was the Coeur d'Alene Resort which claims to have the longest floating boardwalk. It is a pretty cool sight with all of the blue tarps covering the boat slips. While this photo looks like I used selected color, I did not. The scene is as I saw it.

Thanks for a great day Phil,

Stockings or tights? Anyway, another chance to show my gorgeous slip.

it all slips by so fast but i don’t know if i should be trying to take photos or not. i forgot to take photos of ten million beautiful moments recently. a lot of really cool graffiti that i forgot to take pictures of too. when i die one day i hope that i get to see a lot of the stuff that i saw when i was alive again. but i don’t know if pictures can really capture what’s so beautiful about real life. so, what’s the point anyway? a lot of my favorite photos to see are just personal documents. i guess pain is not usually the intention of a photo but sometimes it’s like that’s all i got. the can be so painful it’s almost like they’re dangerous or sharp and you get scared of them and maybe even avoid looking at them. maybe you want them to go away forever so they cant hurt you. but then you realize it’s ok because you can look at the past and cherish or laugh or cry but never hold on too hard or judge unfairly or run away. i think im gonna start taking pictures again. i got a roll of film to develop (but i lost three precious undeveloped rolls and two cameras. so maybe that’s why i’ve been so discouraged about the whole idea of this shit) and i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t a little scared to see what’s on there. i won’t make all those private photos public but some of them might have graffiti on them and they might make you or me laugh. a photo of graffiti has yet to make me cry but i could see that happening soon. ok sorry now i’m don’t with this egotistical rant, i’m sorry if you’re reading this and ur like damn i just wasted my precious time reading this nonsense on flickr. but you should be questioning why you’re even looking at my shit really or anything so good on ya. but anywho, i need to go to bed so i can go to my new job making sandwiches tomorrow, and it’s gonna be -9 Fahrenheit. ima try to take a selfie in the kitchen tomorrow. my last photo uploaded on flickr will be a screenshot of a pdf of an essay on my real feelings about all of you , human history, and my predictions for all of our lives.

Slips and stocking tops.

Now! Imagine high style taffeta slips proportioned in 3 lengths and available in white, navy blue and, of course, pink for only $2.98. Just what I need for under my taffeta skirts and dresses. It makes such a lovely rustling sound and it feels so heavenly. Too bad it doesn't tell me where to send my money.
