Here's another from that fantastic morning of shooting I had at Bryce Canyon last month. The morning the snow stopped, and the sun finally came out.
This was on the way down to shoot Thor's Hammer, as I trudged my way through knee deep snow.
It was really COLD!!!!!!
These rocks look like they could slide on down into the valley any minute. They'll probably still be there long after I'm gone and forgotten.

This song was written in reaction to the BBC DJ, Steve Wright playing the Wham! track "I'm Your Man," immediately after a news report on the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Morrissey observed ‘the music that they constantly play, it says nothing to me about my life.’
This is the view from the top of Richmond Hill tunnel in Leeds. It’s a cityscape that has changed enormously over the years.
The very prominent building is the Department of Health and Social Security head office, known locally as ‘The Kremlin’. It opened in 1993 on a site that was previously occupied by the ‘Quarry Hill Flats’ which were built in the 1930s and at the time were the largest social housing complex in the UK. By the 1980s the flats suffered considerable social and structural problems. As a child, I remember riding past them on the bus into town and they always seemed quite scary. On the extreme left of the image is Leeds Town Hall, whilst on the right is where stone trains from Rylstone would deposit their load at the Tilcon depot.
It’s an area where further development is taking place, with some very expensive looking apartments being built just out of view to the left.

Even the largest steam locomotive operating east of the Mississippi River pales in comparison to the scenic Fall beauty of the Allegheny Mountains but she does look beautiful doing it. WMSR 1309 climbs out of Helmstetter's Curve and slips on fallen leaves from the trees above.

Die schmale Stiegengasse Butter Slip in Kilkenny verbindet die High Street mit der tiefer liegenden St. Kieran's Street auf kurzem Wege. Butter Slip heisst die alte Gasse wohl zu recht, weil die Bodenplatten durch unzählige Tritte abgeschmirgelt und rutschig wurden, als seien sie mit Butter eingeschmiert worden. Vor Allem bei Nässe muss man da wohl ziemlich aufpassen. Deshalb wurden bei den Stiegen in der Gasse wohl auch Handläufe montiert, damit man sich im Falle des Ausrutschens oder besser schon vorher sicher aufrecht halten kann. Kurioser Name für eine kuriose Gasse.
The narrow Butter Slip alley in Kilkenny connects High Street with St. Kieran's Street below via a short route. Butter Slip is a fitting name for this old alley, as the paving stones have been worn smooth by countless footsteps and are now slippery, as if they had been smeared with butter. You have to be especially careful when it's wet. That's probably why handrails were installed on the steps in the alley, so that you can hold on securely if you slip, or better yet, before you slip. A curious name for a curious alley.
