Used in a robbery scene and i remember 'White Arrow' and other companys running them in the 70s and early 80s...

This remarkable design was made by Gerard Welter in cooperation with Studio Pininfarina. The prototype was presented in 2002. Sales started in April 2005.

The car was relatively expensive. Low sale figures made the 1007 project finally commercially unsuccessful.

The sliding doors are very unusual for a small passenger car like this.

Sliding doors at Amsterdam Station.

Gordes is a commune in the Vaucluse département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.

One of twenty Leyland Titan PD3 with Burlingham body acquired for driver training duties in St.Albans Hertfordshire February 1977. New in 1958 as number 1571 in the Ribble Motor Services fleet.

This car has been scrapped after June 2015. So I was right on time recording this 80s car, which has become rare in our streets nowadays.

Posting last year finds I noticed that a lot of 80s cars have been scrapped meanwhile. This category of cars form a very vulnerable group of cars: to old to compete with current cars, to young to be considered as classic cars. Therefore they suffer by the lack of protection they deserve. They're depending on the goodness of the individual car enthusiast.

This Prairie M10-Series was introduced in Japan in 1981 and in Europe one year later. It was one of the very first compact MPV's. Naganori Ito was the designer.

In the US it was called Stanza Wagon.

Note the attractive sliding door, which is on both sides.

A full hull model for display of a american style harbour tug. The model contains lots of details.

storage space on the front and rear deck. A slidingdoor to enter the detailed wheelhouse which also has a detachable roof for easy access.

There is a achor winch located at the bow and yellow engine underneath the funnel. Yellow so it must be a Caterpilar engine.

To be able to use this model in my harbour lay-out I made the underwatership in two pieces. you can easily lift off the the top part and put it in any lay-out.

Turning the Pneumatic T Piece 90° behind the seat keeps the door shut when closed.

Sensō-ji's main hall, or Hondō in Japanese has these large sliding doors on all four sides of its structure. I'm unsure if the mat black finish is lacquer or not but when the sky is clear blue as it was today, the reflected colour is simply out of this world. I've done my best to preserve the tones caught by the camera, and so only did a slight levels adjust along with the highlights in the metalwork. The darker area is shadow created by the giant overhanging eaves, commonplace in traditional Japanese architecture. Thank you for visiting.

This AEC Regent V started life in June 1959 as a Double Decker half cab (but with full front) and sliding front entrance Park Royal bodywork.

By 1974 it was relegated to East Kent driver training duties.

By 1975 it had lost its roof, been painted into National White with a red stripe and was noted at Victoria Coach Station, London.

By 1980 it had been cut down further to resemble the vehicle seen here, painted all over yellow and was in quite a battered state working for Maidston & District.

Somehow, the vehicle ended up with Go Goodiwins in Manchester but was sold again in 2016.

Now 2017 It is seen here, newly restored and in the South Yorkshire Transport Museum, Aldwarke, Rotherham.

The J9 was based on the 1965-1980 J7.
