Found this on a little explore of an abandoned government site this morning.

The Peugeot D4 was replaced by the J7 series. This successor has been kept almost unchanged for 15 years and was available in many models and body variations.

A lot of them have survived as food-truck or, like in this case, as mobile-home.

Production of the J7 was outsourced to Chausson and Heuliez.

This car has been scrapped after June 2015. So I was right on time recording this 80s car, which has become rare in our streets nowadays.

Posting last year finds I noticed that a lot of 80s cars have been scrapped meanwhile. This category of cars form a very vulnerable group of cars: to old to compete with current cars, to young to be considered as classic cars. Therefore they suffer by the lack of protection they deserve. They're depending on the goodness of the individual car enthusiast.

This Prairie M10-Series was introduced in Japan in 1981 and in Europe one year later. It was one of the very first compact MPV's. Naganori Ito was the designer.

In the US it was called Stanza Wagon.

Note the attractive sliding door, which is on both sides.

Taken for Saturday Self Challenge 23/07/2022 - Looking Through Something .

Well this week has been very hot so I first planned a contrived shot of taking a picture of one of the cameras rear screen taking a picture - thus looking through the other camera . A bit too close to a previous SSC with mirrors so a rethink and it had to be easy to take with the hot weather . Good news Wednesday is a lot more bearable and there is inspiration from an old advert from about ten years ago with a diver - diving through a car !! That will work using my car with it's rear sliding doors , so nip outside , open the doors and take a shot looking through the car ( and one of the car with the doors closed in the first comment box ) . I hasten to add that my house is not the one in the shot , there is a strange layout and my drive and garage looks like it belongs to someone else's house .

Well the advert in 2012 was for a Ford B Max and that had a sliding door as well but no B Pillar hence the advert with the car suspended on it's side over a swimming pool and a diver diving right through the car into the water . My car is a Peugeot Rifter which also has a rear sliding door - but does retain a B pillar !!

The music to the advert is a splendid piece of Space Rock dating back to 1971 and I think I am right in saying that Lemmy was on bass in Hawkwind then.

The first link is the advert and as it is only 30 seconds long I have added a full length recording of the track --

Master Of The Universe !!

A full hull model for display of a american style harbour tug. The model contains lots of details.

storage space on the front and rear deck. A slidingdoor to enter the detailed wheelhouse which also has a detachable roof for easy access.

There is a achor winch located at the bow and yellow engine underneath the funnel. Yellow so it must be a Caterpilar engine.

To be able to use this model in my harbour lay-out I made the underwatership in two pieces. you can easily lift off the the top part and put it in any lay-out.

Closed for business.

I participated on a photo shoot with Michigan Photo Adventures this Saturday of Barns, Trains and Fall Landscapes. This was an old, dilapidated barn with a sliding barn door. Only one of the two rolling hinges was still attached the other had long since come lose (and was lost or "stolen"). I thought it was absolutely beautiful!

I know you're probably all getting sick of these scenes with the overexposure and the fiberglass mat door ... and I'm sure I will tire of it soon, myself, but I'm just having so much fun.
