I am making (good?) use of a sick day to upload some older agate slices. These have been sitting in a bin, waiting for me to have time to polish them. For now, I will upload them unpolished.
before anyone says i know white bread is bad for ducks but theres a recession on and needs must,i left the house with 7 loafs of brown bread but i went to the pond in warrington, walton, and then ackers pit i ended up using more bread than i planned at ackers so had no bread for grappenhall i had some penny's in my bag not enough for brown and 2p short for white so i had to ask a stranger for 2p.
also i know its a full slice but it makes me laugh when they run round with it in there beaks they never end up keeping it as it always breaks off
My friend (H) introduced me to a happy accident.
"Frozen Orange slices are just the cure for those hot summer days, or any day if you get down like that." ;)
Ninjas do have the necessary skills to beat every Pro out there - if it weren't for their problems with slicing. ;-)
This Christmas cake (originally from Sienna) has a chewy, almost taffy-like texture which comed from melted chocolate, sugar, honey and (my secret ingredient) melted Tootsie Rolls. A hefty dose of cocoa powder, mincemeat, nuts and seeds gives this a flavour that's hard to resist!

homemade mozzarella on top of homemade bread. topped with a little pepper, garlic, Italian seasoning, and ground celery seed.
I bought the basic mozzarella/ricotta kit at www.cheesemaking.com/
If you just want to make ricotta/cottage cheese/paneer, you only need buttermilk and milk and a cheesecloth, and look up the recipe online or in Bittman's HtCE:Veg.
The cake was brought to the Sichuan restaurant for after dinner. They were so kind, providing storing space for the cake prior to the dinner, providing plates and even providing ideas as to how to carry in the cake!
Here's a slice. It was pretty good! The whole cake served 11 (some had seconds) with leftovers.
These horizontal and vertical slices of the human body once resided in one of the museum's stairwells, but now is in a more visible place. They've been at the museum since the 1940s. I seem to remember more of them, but perhaps they're not all on display.
I used on old 60's clothes pattern as the background for this shirt design. Help it get printed and see it on a tee by following the link below!

Slices of blood oranges from Spain - felt like a vampire when I bit into the oranges and got red-stained hands and chin as the dark juices dripped.... lol
Taken with a modified Ilford Envoy camera, as described by richard314159 here:

The film was advanced by 1/8th of a turn after each exposure, so at the beginning, when the take up spool was "slim" the slits overlap, while by the end of the film there is no overlap, or even a small gap.
