I need to go back and get a slice at this cutely named pizza place, because I am in love with their little mascot.

... and some bubbles.

Just a slice of tree trunk

The smoke ring is super-obvious in some of the slices in the foreground, though all of the meat has a great smoky flavor. The meat definitely could have been cooked several more hours to make it more tender, but it's still quite good.

Trying to do some food photography with my 350d and its 50mm f/1.8 prime.

Used for the spiced pear/apple candy.

A small LED flashlight focused on a white background, through a 28mm lens. Visible first is the diode itself, followed by the wire bonds, and finally the surface imperfections on the plastic lens of the LED.

made it into a dessert for mother's day

this bread was dessert for 5 people....bread coated in egg and milk and lemon zest and juice soaked overnight and then griddle cooked like french toast and topped with homemade strawberry syrup (smashed strawberries with a little lemon juice and sugar left to macerate all day) then a small dollop of homemade ice cream

Scrubbed, peeled, and sliced so I can dry them and start another batch of dye.

Slicing some off the lean end. We ended up doing 1.5 lbs of lean and half a pound of fatty. We thought it would be enough for our barbecue-battered senses and appetites. We were wrong.

Slice of Kiwi Petshop's got some CUTIES!

The first slice. Looks like a My Little Pony and a Carebear tried to cross breed.

My friend likes it with cheese but I like it plain. Could not wait to stop taking photos to eat this. An experiment in food presentation photography...

Sliced heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil and sea salt & pepper.
