In the University street, a very nice small bar. Yes, everything bends severely to the right ... I did try to justify this aspect by saying that the University street is on a slope, just

for the principle to always have the last word;) .... Need some advice here, not so much for the slope, I like it, but for the right side of the sketch, I turned my head to draw the rest of the room ... Is it not advisable to change the focus of one’s look slightly to the right when drawing? or is there a technique to give an accurate rending of the room to the right ?? If a pro would be kind enough to retrace the lines on my sketch, so that I get an idea, it would be great.

Sketch by Suede for Bombingart

This sketch was done entirely with a 6B pencil. I think I used up half the pencil sharpening it so often!

I went hiking and sketching today in Sai Kung Country Park to support "Save Our Country Park" Alliance. The aim of the alliance is to protect every inch of our precious nature reserve within the many country parks in Hong Kong.

The pro-China Hong Kong government (a government which is not elected by the people of Hong Kong but appointed by Beijing, China) is proposing to develop our parks into new towns as it is estimated the population will continue to rise in our 7 million people city-state despite the fact that birth rate has always been low. Since the handover from Britain to China in 1997, Hong Kong has gained almost 1 million of population due to the unregulated inflow of immigrants from China. The pro-China Hong Kong government simply does not exercise its right to screen people from China, a right that is enshrined in Hong Kong's constitution, the Basic Law.

Immigrants from China must be screened and our precious country parks must not be touched!

It is really difficult for me to show any of my sketches because they are so quick and rough. I don't like to do a lot of preplanning for my prints. My drawing abilities aren't really all that, but I am sketching every day now to improve them and keep the ideas flowing.

I am too scared to put it on the moleskin community that I lurk on.

Today's story and sketch "by me" you see one of Santa's

helpers here at the Taos New Mexico Nut"N"Honey moon pie

bakery, picking up a load of moon pies Santa will be

delivering on Christmas.

The first pine trees in this area were planted by

Twoneedle gofish, a famous intergalactic explorer from

the blue moon "Lippo". It was many hundreds of years ago when

he was visiting Earth planting pine tree seeds, when he

came upon a beautiful Indian maiden, named Laddona who

was walking with her pet goat. Laddona was not at all

afraid of the four foot tall grey alien Twoneddle.

But she was curious about the seeds he was planting on

her patch of ground, given to her by her x husband an

Indian brave known as shortfeather. At the time it

seemed to friends and family a rebound romance her

falling in love with Twoneddle.

But it all worked out, and they were happy for many moons.

Every fall she and Twoneddle would walk along

with their goats and gather pine nuts. Then Laddona would

make Twoneddle his favorite snack, the Nut"N"Honey moon pies.

Their children's children are today still making the pies at

the same Pine Nut & Honey Moon Pie Bakery.

Don't you just enjoy a happy ending, until next time
