This perfect little pocket park is open in St. Croix, Wisconsin. Instead of paying for expensive site work, St. Croix used SpohnCrete's unique ability to act as a retaining wall to build a complex course on a small budget. Designed and built by Spohn Ranch Skateparks .

The view from Letná Park over Prague. This spot was formerly home to the world's largest statue of Josef Stalin (it was destroyed in 1962). Today there is a giant ticking metronome and a ton of skateboarders in the open concrete space. I'm not sure what the shoes on the wire are supposed to mean (if anything), but it somehow seemed to fit the area.

Visible in the distance is The Church of our Lady before the Tyn as well as the Astronomical Clock Tower.

Gazela DIY spot under the highway. Somebody is picking the nose under the bridge.

Mister Kangro doing a lipslide on the rail of our most popular skatespot Viru Keskus ( Now we have a new one .... ) Jarmo and I wanted to shoot this rail on the year 2008 to. He wanted this rail to end his line, the first obstacle was a 9step stair, where he twisted his ancle on the third time. So last year he dident even make it to this rail.

But this year he skipt the stairs, and made this lipslide on the 5th time we where there.

As you can see Antti is filming the trick for his skateboarding clip :

Lay-out for the Dalles Skatepark in St. Croix Falls, WI.

The park is a "pocket park" skate spot. Part of a new trend in skatepark master planning, skate spots allow cities to server larger segments of their action sports community.

St. Croix's park is a great "mini-plaza" design with a unique inset mini-bowl at the top of the park. This feature, highlighted in the following photos, has already become a favorite among local skaters.

Note also the extended quarter-pipe at the top right. This attention detail is typical of Spohn Ranch skateparks; adding complexity and flow to a simple skate spot.

Final design for Dalton, Georgia's new concrete skatepark. At roughly 5,600 square feet, this small plaza-style park will be a valuable addition to Dalton's diverse collection of recreational facilities.

With a design/construction budget of only $90,000, Spohn Ranch worked with the local skateboard community to develop a final concept that would accommodate a wide variety of skating styles and skill levels.

Construction starts next week!
