Great concert from a scottish singer I've liked for years - and on another roasting hot day, very pleased the Sub Rooms in Stroud have aircon! (and yes, I did sing along to most of the songs!!)
I visited Nîmes when I was a University student in Western Canada and working the summer for friends who had bought an Auberge (country inn) in Gard, just outside this ancient southern city. I remembered it for it’s well-preserved Roman ruins, it’s cicadas, and its dry, shimmering heat - so it was great to go back many years later.
