Shot handheld at night on the street in San Francisco, Union Square. There was a street band playing some good tunes. They were in front of a gallery so I took advantage of the red picture in the store window. Framed up the singer and shot from the far side of the street .
These aren't from my treadle or any machine I own; they arrived as a surprise with the e-bay parts for steampunking. I don't remember seeing them in the auction, but it's metal plates with grapes and grape leaves. Not going to say no.
As long as I can remember I have wanted an old Singer sewing machine. The dream came true a few months ago. Oh joy!
The sewing machine was in good condition, except that it needed a thorough clean.

This isn't HDR although it looks like it might be - the car was parked on the sea front at Southwold, and the water makes a pretty good reflector :-)
