EXPLORE #11. It was singing so loudly, when my husband caught it and brought it to me! We admired that singer of the nature and then let it go.

Pacific Islanders have a strong tradition in singing often singing in harmony by ear. This singer is a second generation Kiwi but keeps up the tradition with a powerful pure voice. White Sunday is an important day for children in Pacific Island churches.

PS. I wonder if you can help me get to 8M views? I've been stuck at 7.9 for a while. To help I've started making an album of photos that made it to Explore (the last album in my list) Sorry about blatant promotion.

This was a "first" for me. I heard this bird singing before I locate it and thought at first that a mockingbird was in the area due to the changing songs being sung. These Thrashers are said to have a repertoire that has more than a 1000 different songs.

p.s. I apologize again for my "vacancy" from Flickr and I hope this evening I can spend enouch time on Flickr. Thanx to all.

While Camping I singed my hand on the fire. Played around with my 35mm Macro and although lighting was poor, got this interesting shot.

Took this one of the lead singer of a local Baltimore band. Used Lightroom preset B and W Flat and worked from there. Worked with the shadows and highlights to clean it up a little bit. Added a vignette on the outside of the frame.

As well as being very successful car makers, Singer made a number of commercial vehicles. This 1931 Singer Van, JU 827, was found in a barn in very poor condition. It was restored by staff at Coventry Transport Museum where it is now on display.

LOCATION : Merida, Mexico

In 1857 the first Singer showroom and headquarters were at 458 Broadway, New York, with 3 manufacturing small plants located around the city. With the original manufacturing plants unable to produce enough sewing machines to satisfy the expanding market, The Singer Company purchased a 32 acre plot of land at Elizabethport, on the outskirts of the town of Elizabeth in New Jersey. In 1872 the Singer Manufacturing Company opened a large purpose built a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. At the time it was aid to have been the largest factory in the world devoted to the manufacture of a single product.

We are so lucky in Oslo, Thursdays, free admission to art museums, galleries day :)

Photo by John, I am taking a close up of the Singer.

The part of this exhibition was the dimming lights, they kept coming and going at random.

I managed one shot! Not sure what this crop is but it really is colourful, the field looks orange, almost like flickering flames, even without the golden light, a lot like this in our area. I prayed it would look to the right into the light but no luck.
