Jessica Caylyn is an up and coming country/pop singer from around here. She and her band played in Brentwood, CA recently. The concert was outdoors and it was really fun.
This was my main Christmas pressie, here is my beautiful 1957 Singer Featherweight sat with my two modern machines.

The Carnevale Fantasitco is a little slice of Renaissance Italy nestled in the hills of Vallejo, California. For one weekend a year, Blue Rock Springs Park travel back in time and across an ocean to recreate a vibrant village of the era. Filled with historical characters and period dress, it’s a great time for the entire family. See the Commedia dell Arte performed on multiple stages, listen to incredible voices singing period pieces, marvel at the swordfights. Peruse the offerings of all the artisans and craftspeople offering their hand-made wares, or simply watch as they demonstrate their skills. Take in the fine food as you watch the parade. A truly fun event for all ages.

We came across this beautiful old Singer sewing machine in a charity shop. I honestly would have snapped it up if I had the money on me at the time.
The drawers underneath still had the bobbins and things in it ^.^

CHARTER SINGERS
The Blyth Festival Singers celebrated the end of their 35th season as a community choir at their Cabaret on May 28. Seven of their charter members who started in the fledgling choir in 1980 were present at the event. They are l-r: George Ribey, Don McCaffrey, Inge Wraith, Joan Perrie, Yvonne Martin, Bill Farnell, and Linda McGregor. The choir's last performance of the season will be a free pre-theatre concert at the Grand Opening of the Blyth Festival Theatre season June 17. (Submitted photo)

The Singer Building is definitely in my top 3 favorite New York Skyscrapers. When construction ended, the building was the tallest in the world. It is arguably one of the most well known architectural tragedies of the city, since it was razed down, along with the City Investing Building, in 1968 to make way for One Liberty Plaza, even if it was one of the most iconic buildings of Manhattan at the time.
