My grandmother's old Singer Sewing machine. I believe it belonged to her mother (my great-grandmother). Probably purchased new, and has seen much use, even into the 20th century, which it still works to this day.
Don't believe it'll get much use now, but it would be interesting to try out.

November 07, 2011 - Ramona Singer (Real Housewives of New York City) "Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio delle Venezie" Bottle Signing at The PA Wine & Spirits Store at Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, PA, USA, famouspix.zenfolio.com/p900274056
I followed a hunch and found this sweet little singer featherweight at a antique/junque store by my house. I had a feeling in the stacks and stacks of stuff she just had to have one little 221 circa 1950. She was a bit stinky and filled with dead spiders , has a little flaking pain along the bottom edge. The box smells to high heaven. Mildew..eww..
Ive named her after my Grandmother. You know, she said growing up she didnt like her name, she would get teased. i think Dahlia is beautiful. Both of them.

Christian leaders from all over Chiang Mai were invited to join the event for games, Thai food, dancing, fire-breathing and live music. Oh, and a dedication service, too. o.
The Ypsilanti Singers, later called Madrigal Singers, were created under the leadership of Fredrick Alexander. The singing group consisted of 21 to 23 members chosen each semester by audition. The group originally performed at civic, educational, and church functions. As years went on the group was able to travel to Great Britain multiple times and perform at the cathedrals, universities, festivals, and town halls.

Wikipedia says, "The Singer Building or Singer Tower, at Liberty Street and Broadway in Manhattan, was a 47-story office building completed in 1908 as the headquarters of the Singer Manufacturing Company. It was the tallest building in the world from 1908 to 1909. It was demolished in 1968, together with the adjacent City Investing Building, and is now the site of 1 Liberty Plaza. When it was demolished, it was the tallest building ever to be demolished, and is still the third-tallest building ever to be destroyed (after the World Trade Center towers) and the tallest to be purposely demolished by its owner."

Sculptures on the facade
The building was designed by architect Pavel Suzor for the Russian branch of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. Initially, the management of the Singer Company had ambitions to construct a skyscraper, similar to the Singer Building - company headquarters being built at that time in New York. However, the building code of Saint Peterburg center did not allow structures taller than 23.5 meters (the height of the Winter Palace - tzar's residence). The architect found an elegant solution - the seven story building featured a tower on the top crowned with a glass globe.[1] This tower makes an impression of high rise, but due to its lightness, it doesn't shadow neither the Kazan Cathedral nor the Church of the Savior on Blood. The sculptor was the Estonian Amandus Adamson.
