Photographing Simplicity: Day One
I have joined a group dedicated to capturing one simple image a day for the month of December. I thought this was a good way to start, with one of life's simple pleasures, a flavourful clementine from distant Morocco

I had to make some minor alterations. First of all, I shortened the skirt and the straps. I narrowed the upper front part in the middle (~ 2cm) as I read that the neckline is quite deep. In general, this was a good idea, but made it a bit tight around the waist. The next time I might try it by narrowing only the neckline. I reinforced the front waist band and the straps with a solid fabric (used as lining), the dress itself is made of jersey. The skirt is lined with elastic lining. I always prefer to add a lining to my dresses. Most of the times, I just duplicate the dress or skirt part. The skirt is supposed to be gathered which I do not like that much (as I did with Simplicity 3503). So I decided to ease the fullness by adding pleats instead and opted for box pleats. It now flatters my figure so much better.
