I used Simplicity 2959 as a base pattern to make my wedding dress. I made a number of modifications and changes in the process but am very happy with the end result.

This is Such an AWESOME pattern! I love the Poncho and Poncho Top! It is so fab! This is a "Simple to Make" Pattern from the 1950's. The blouse, tunic and poncho patterns are all included in this great pattern.

The collarless A-Line dress has a back zipper and optional self fabric or purchased belt. View 1 & 2 have high round neckline and set-in sleeves. View 1 has long sleeves. View 2 has short sleeves and optional top-stitiching. Sleeveless view 3 has a lowered round neckline. The perosnal-fit chart shows alterations for those people who require a personal-fit at the waist and hip. The pattern is a bonus basic dress in half-sizes with a bonus chart: "How to make a better fitting dress".

Simplicity 7697; ©1968; Sleeveless Coat-Dress or Beach-Jacket and Bathing Suit with Panties in Misses' and Half-Sizes: The collarless coat-dress or beach-jacket has high round neckline. The regular-length sleeveless coat-dress has front button closing. Shorter-length beach-jacket with bracelet-length set-in sleeves has cord trim at neckline forming tie ends. The lined bathing-suit with waistline seam has back zipper, self fabric shoulder straps and optional self fabric or purchased belt. The bathing-suit has panties, made of jersey fabric only, with elastic waistline and leg casings.
...When my life is anything but. Ugh. I am so stressed out right now! My prom dress hasn't come yet. I'm about ready to call up Jessica McClintock and ask her what the h-e-double hockey sticks is going on w. my dress! Also, a month from today I'm supposed to be leaving for our Senior trip to Virginia Beach. But to go, I have to pass my math class that I need to GRADUATE. But, the highest grade in my class right now? It's a 68 (and it's not mine) and I need a 70. I have 35 days. Shoot me? Erg. So many things. SO SO SO many. :( I just wanna go back to when I was 3. When things were SIMPLE.
Dressy Bessy dolls help you learn to do stuff.. I had one but nowadays they would probably be banned because you could choke on a shoelace or zip your earlobe into the zipper or something.

A Reflection of Simplicity
At first glance this photo would seem too cluttered and colorful to be simple. But looking intently into the photo shows a simple object of focus and a darkness that surrounds it. The colorful lamp captures the focus of the photo and creates a simple theme of colors. Though, the background is not completely empty which would make the photo's simplicity questionable but in truth the reflection of color and light on the wall adds to the simplicity of it by adding similar patterns than of the lamp itself.
Simplicity 3835 again (it's addictive!), view C. I shortened the body again by 3 inches, but this time I added the sleeve elastics as per pattern.
