for August MSH: Note to Self.
this has been a message that i have been repeating to myself over and over. every year it has pretty much been my news years resolution. i will get there someday....but it certainly is taking long while. to simplify my life... in every way. yep.. that's my life challenge.
*snapped the last couple categories this morning. will be uploading them now. yay.. i finished.. with a couple days to spare. and a bit of a post & run... but i will be back this evening with a buddy mosaic, to browse streams & finish up in the voting booth*

"Simplicity" - I discovered this while Surfing around through Zentangle Blogs -was the Diva's first weekly challenges. If I had been doing Zentangle back then, I would have entered this as my answer to that challenge.
OK, this is a pattern for Ideal's Chrissy, etc dolls. But someone has suggested it would be good for a Sasha doll. Has anyone ever made this pattern and altered it for Sasha? Just curious.

I did this piece a while ago, but feel it sits well in 'Be Still 52'. I love these daisy type flowers, this is a gerbera that I grew in my garden last year.

I have a very busy brain. Things ping-pong around in my head constantly...except when I'm out making images. It's then that I'm able to quiet the noise of the day and truly focus on that moment without distraction.
Fortunately, I live in a place where there is so much scenic beauty that my photographer's eye can't help but be inspired to capture it. I'm beginning to learn how important it is to make daily time for this mentally quieting experience.

Mom made me this to wear to a friend's mom's wedding. It was in the mountains, though, so I had to wear hiking boots with it instead of girly shoes. Now, I'd be all over that, but I was mad at the time.
Tracey Clark's Picture Fall Day 8: Keeping it Simple
Tracey asked us to explore how light enhances our photography. I think I generally am very aware of light, so I tried to do something a little different for me and play with deep shadows.
You may recognize this as my pumpkin baby (see below).
