Decided to post something a little more simple this time around. I've made a few images lately of some nice lone trees. Thought I would share :)

I love simplicity shots sometimes where there is very little in a scene but it leaves you facinated with the view.
Nature teaches us simplicity and contentment, because in its presence we realize we need very little to be happy.”

Simplicity is what I'm craving right now. Instead, I'm in a whirlwind of choices and making decisions about printing, matting, and framing my prints. I'm a bit overwhelmed with it all, but I know I'm pushing myself to grow and learn and hopefully to have a show in May.
I miss my daily connection with my flickr friends. Please be patient with me - I will continue to comment on your photos as I can. I hope you are all well and taking lots of great photos (: I had to pull myself away last evening and run out and see the beauty of the real world and I came home with this image to remind me of what really seems to matter...
Simplicity
Impresionante!!!

My bedroom seems to be always filled with light which is why its one of my favourite places in the house.
I have these beautiful heavy soft sheers which I handpainted and they really diffuse the light in here and make all my girly stuff glow.
Can be a bit of a problem taking photos sometimes but I caught the light just right on this little display.
I have quite a lot of 1950's necklaces as well and they get hung and draped over everything as I am a really over the top rugby shirt and shorts wearing girly girl.
mmmmmm Beginning to think I AM eccentric!!!

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Barcelona, with an unusually stony beach after the storms washed away the artificial sand...
From the first roll shot with a new and very basic Leica M-A, which will eventually replace the M7 for 35mm film work. It was a bit unnerving shooting a Leica without an in-camera meter, but in reality the exposures were more accurate than with the M7 - probably because my guesses were calibrated periodically with a Sekonic ambient light meter.
Shot with the Zeiss 50mm C-Sonnar on 400TX (Tri-X), and processed for EI1600 in XTOL stock.

This picture is untouched. I just liked the way it came out.

I sing glory, from my lowest,
And I will say peace,
To the people I meet;
While the world
Waits for an explosion,
The instant of light,
That wipes that slate clean.

So for this picture, my intial editing concept didn't work out as I had planned. Instead I decided to do something simple with the birds and the colors.
