Vous devinez ce que c'est?
Sortie photo avec un ami dimanche. Une maison abandonnée trouvée dans un rang de campagne.
Je la dédie à Denis, il sait très bien pourquoi :-)

Sometimes the most beautiful things in life are the simplest.
This picture was taken at the same day and at the same location as I took the other picture: Left Alone.
There are so many little flowers in ther forest. You just have to wait for the perfect light.
Taken with another manual lens of my grandfather. A Pentacon 100mm 2.8. Beautiful lens!!!
In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
In my photographic journey I'm recently gravitating towards the research of a supposed simplicity.
This scene caught my attention because the cut in the foreground reminded me of a modernist painting I studied in high school.
Barcelona, with an unusually stony beach after the storms washed away the artificial sand...
From the first roll shot with a new and very basic Leica M-A, which will eventually replace the M7 for 35mm film work. It was a bit unnerving shooting a Leica without an in-camera meter, but in reality the exposures were more accurate than with the M7 - probably because my guesses were calibrated periodically with a Sekonic ambient light meter.
Shot with the Zeiss 50mm C-Sonnar on 400TX (Tri-X), and processed for EI1600 in XTOL stock.
Sometimes it takes a very visits to a scene before you start seeing new compositions. Today I revisited a local jetty after seeing some interesting clouds, and suddenly I saw the simplicity of this image in my head and found it appealing.

I want to find and have more time to make some really nice pics… Made just to don't let october pass without a new one.
Playing with the close-focus ability of the new 20mm, this almost-macro shot seemed flicker-worthy.

What amazes me, is simplicity.
More in people, than in processes.
More in practice, than in theory.
More now, than ever before.
Tragically, simplicity is boring.
The buzz comes from complexity instead.
But of course, it is simplicity that puts complexity into perspective.
Shot a cop, an abandoned building, mourning windows, shiny happy people, characterful faces, etc.
But what this simple blank wall can do, to glorify a complex plant pot, is amazing.
What is also amazing, is the simplicity of capturing a satisfying shot, when not trying too hard.

Another in a series of simple compositions, this was taken at the Domaine de Fayence resort in France, showing the top of a water fountain and a small window in one of the resort houses.
I made my own sepia tone by playing with the blue channel.
The color version was magnificent, but this monotone conversion worked just too well (in my eyes) to let it go.
When all else fails turn to the more common species. I liked this image for its simplicity so I thought I would share it.

MissJewell inspired me yesterday. Went out with intention to find the most beautiful yet simple shot I could. Simplicity is underrated.

This took me ages to get right. A sodding self took me ages to get right, like this. Grrrr. Oh well, I guess it turned out okay :)
Last day of college, EVER tomorrow! Not really sure how I feel about it :/
i called this simplicity mostly as i did not have to do any re-work in photoshop or minor -so a nice easy upload via 500px ift.tt/2ehDWO8
Sometimes, something as simple as a tree branch in water can look beautiful.
I added a golden tone to make the shot more interesting :)
It amazes me sometimes how beautiful simplicity can be. A plain white facade with a few features of color is all you need. It is not of my faith, but this particular church holds a special place in our hearts and has for a long time. It isn't the building or the architecture. It is the man behind the pulpit who gives the building life and meaning. These days, in his light, we are all better versions of ourselves.

I was getting bored while having my haircut. Saw this wall decor which almost always catches my attention whenever I am there. It is simple but, personally, it exudes a lot of character.
