My @simonsaysstamp flowers from my previous post on the finished card. Frame by @heroarts, background die by @ellenhutson. I'm entering this card in Simon's Flickr and Wednesday challenges.

Day 17 of #thedailymarker30day, #simonsaysstamp, #sssflickrchallenge, #ssswchallenge, #handmadecards, #cardmaking, #cardmakinghobby, #paperart, #snailmail, #stamping, #greetingcards, #papercrafting, #cardmaker, #tarjeteria.

For this card, I applied Cosmic Shimmer paste to an ink-blended background using the Stars and Dots Stencil by Simon Says Stamp. I'm entering this card into the latest SSS Flickr Challenge - Birthday Bash!

I was determined to get a card made for SSS Flickr Challenge 183 www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721577197372... using the larger die from SSS Etched Laurel Leaves. I die cut it from watercolor paper & a couple times from cardstock to make it sturdier. I brushed on color with 3 Altenew watercolor markers & spritzed with water to blend. After it dried, I added gold splatters & brushed on some more gold. SSS Painted Hugs was die cut, stacked & colored direct to paper with Delicata Golden Glitz. I also swiped the woodgrain embossed kraft panel with the Golden Glitz. Finished off with matte, gold sequins. I'm also entering Flickr Love Handmade Cards 68 www.flickr.com/groups/lovehandmadecards/discuss/721577197... & SSS Wed www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-4/ as the Delicata ink does give a beautiful shimmery shine. TFL

I had fun with a technique using my gel press. The colors were a bit of a surprise, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. Entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge, Stencil It!, and the LOVE!-Handmade cards June Love challenge 89.

I always look for beautiful flowers I can paint, and this set blew me away! I also used some of my current favourites on this card - torn edges and a little stitching.

I have a video up today - a quick and simple vintage valentine card to get me started after being unwell. I used the Simon Says Stamp Feb Card Kit - it's beautifully coordinated and so easy to put everything together 😃 If you listen to the video, please excuse how bunged up I sound! It was quite something to record without coughing and spluttering my way through it and a good job germs don't travel through the web! 😳

My mornings begin with coffee and my evenings end with a cup, too. So, of course, that love needed to be illustrated in a card - with Coffee and Tea stamp set.

Thank you for taking a look!

Used Altenew Vintage Flowers, #SSSFAVE Wishing Sentiments, CB Fresh Flowers.

Day 3: Texture and Dimension

Here is a card I made for a baby shower in acouple of weeks.

I used white embossing paste and mixed with Distress Ink/Festive Berries. Much darker that I had hoped. Anyways, I used a stencil that I found from when my kids were very young, (my kids are now in their 20's LOL). Anyways, these are very thick and from Art Zart School. I used the footprint and reversed it for the other footprint. Let it dry overnight then stenciled some small hearts from a Simon Says Die. Added the banner-sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Plus One. Added a A2 card base from Stampin Up! CS.

STAMPtember is here and I got to create with the gorgeous Nature Mandala by Stephanie Low! For these two cards I used heat embossing. For the kraft card I simply stamped the image in VersaMark, applied some embossing powder in Enchanted Gold by Ranger and then heated. The panel was trimmed down on one side and adhered to a card base along with a strip of gold glitter cardstock. The sentiment is from the SSS Mom Flowers set. The top card uses the emboss/resist technique and distress oxide inks in Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. The sentiment is from the Take Heart set combined with the layered heart die set.

Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

OK, I basically dropped off the face of the planet there for a while. I can't believe that the last time I shared anything was in June! On my blog today, I'm sharing two cards made with the same piece of inky paper and mentioning a bit about my stepping away.

I had great fun over the Christmas break creating watercoloured backgrounds. I really enjoyed making this multimedia muted lilac and grey background with lots of texture from Nuvo expanding mousse and it proved to be a great backdrop to new stamps and dies from the Simon Says Stamp I just got 😃 Leaves and tags - right up my street! 🌿 Check out all the details and close up photos on my blog post 😃

I didn't want to post this until after Mother's Day. It was for my daughter who had her first one with little Samson. I got my inspiration from Cindy Norberg, she makes beautiful cards. I'm entering this in the SSS Flickr challenge, Flowers and the LOVE! - Handmade cards, LOVE challenge 64. I used alcohol inks with the SSS Fading Florals stencil.

I made this card using the gorgeous Stephanie Low Creative for Simon Says Stamp Nature Mandala and the I Adore You die from the SSS Fresh Bloom release. I used the emboss/resist technique with one of Kristina Werner's distress oxide ink blends. The inspiration for the card came from the super talented Debby Hughes. Entering this in the current SSS flickr challenge.

Made with watercolor pencils on a printed card from SSS, designed by Suzy Plamentura. Love die is from Altenew.

I haven't been on Flickr for months! Things have changed I see.

Here I've used all products from Simon Says Stamp 😊

Transferred the original inked up and heat embossed piece with water and my die cutting machine.

Matched it with the Shimmer Wreath die and the words "Get Well Soon".

The rainbow mirror cardstock is just beautiful.

In my video today, I talk about powering through that ugly phase in a painting which is so common when watercolouring and is a point that a lot of people give up and yet by pushing through and working things out then the end result is something to be happy about. Do you ever find yourself in that ugly phase? What do you do?

I wanted to join in again on the Spots and Dots Challenge in Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721576497929... and made this gift bag with Simon Says Stamp's Bundle of Stitched Shapes die set and Birthday Farm Animals stamp set. To make the bag I used the Goodie Bag die from Lawn Fawn. It's a brilliant die for making quick and easy gift bags in no time - love it!

In the crafting calendar, I always find December a bit of a strange time. Hopefully, the Christmas cards are made and being written and sent off, presents are being wrapped etc and there’s that buzz towards the ‘big day’. However, as far as getting creative with our card-making, our eyes are turning to the New Year, Valentine’s Day and Spring! I have to say, this year, of all years, I am so looking forward to the New Year, a fresh start and let’s just put 2020 behind us! So here is to bringing a bit of spring into our lives!

limedoodledesign.com/2020/12/quick-easy-valentines-card-n...

For this card I used the SimonSaysStamp January Kit of the Month.

Dies are also SSS:

"Bundle of Stitched Shapes" SSD111412

"Eliza Snowflake~SSSD111308"

Used Ranger " Liquid Platium" embossing powder for the sentiment and to cover the snowflake.

Water you up to? Flip flops waiting at the water's edge. Sharing a card I made for the current #simonsaysstamp challenge. I blended Faded Jeans, Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks for the "ocean" and was going to leave the kraft color of the Neenah cardstock be the "sand" but instead I blended Vintage Photo and Antique Linen to give the sand more texture. The waves and flip flop stamps are from older #sss stamp sets (I stamped the flip flops on patterned paper and fuzzy cut them), the sentiment is from the July 2017 card kit. Wish I could be at the beach right now! Do you?🏊‍♀️🏄‍♀️

The moment I saw this "singing in the rain" chick from the @simonsaysstamp March 2018 kit I wanted to color it, and I finally found the time. I masked off a roughly circular area, then stamped a plaid background using a Kaleidacolor ink pad. I stamped the chick on the masked off area and colored it with Copics, then embossed a dot pattern circle die around it. Rainy weather is part of spring in the southeastern US so this card fits the theme for both Simon's Wednesday and Flickr challenges.

I used Melody's Easter, Baby Party Animals and Wavy Scallop Stiches dies! Happy 8th Birthday Simon Says Stamp!!!

This is a card I made for Simon Says Stamp's Flickr Challenge #17 www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721576516018... I went a bit bold with shades of the challenge colours so lol hopefully it won't hurt your eyes!

I used the funny cow from Simon Says Stamp's Birthday Farm Animals set and a die from WPlus9's Quilt Cuts 2 set. More details are on my blog stampingandstitching.blogspot.ie/2015/04/moo-tiful-birthd...

Simon Says Stamp (this is a new set I purchased recently)

Cute critters ‘hello’ card I made using Lawn Fawn's ‘Gleeful Gardens’ stamp set. I used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink in the background and cut the circle and rectangle stitched background using Simon Says Stamp die sets. I coloured the cute critters in with copics and finished up the card with a ‘hello’ sentiment from the ‘For The Record’ stamp set from Simon says stamp embossed onto some black SSS cardstock. The black banner was cut using the “Sketchy Banner Greetings “die set also from Simon (it was too large so I cut off part of the right side).

As I hone in further on the colour palette that speaks to me, I saw a peachy pink and dusky blue combo. I can't remember now where I saw it. I think it was on a colour chart on Pinterest. I spend a lot of time scrolling through colour palettes! However, wherever I saw it the combo stuck in my head and although it is not a traditional colour scheme for Christmas I think the soft peach works beautifully with the stunning snowflakes in the GinaK STAMPtember set.

When I created a chalkboard card the other day, I made extras for all the Christmas foliage and snowflakes and rather than let them go to waste I created this card – two cards same supplies (more of less).
