Simon Says Stamp Explore Nature Stamp and Die set

I love to add watercolour into my cards, but it can be time-consuming or not necessarily within someone's skill set. However, faux watercolouring with Tim Holtz Distress Inks is so easy and yet gives that watercolour look with little to no effort!

I'm entering this card into the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge - 'stamp it'. I used a leaf from the fabulous SSS Fractile Leaves set and turned it into petals! I also used the SSS Kaleidoscope background stamp and the painted thanks die.

Paper Rose LONG STEM FLOWERS exclusive for SSS (retired)

If it doubts - use woodgrain cardstock. It will make any card better. I colored it in blue and use as a background for gold watercolored Bouquet of Thanks.

Balloon Shaker shaped card

This card takes Part at the SSS Flickr Challenge #10. I used following SSS Products: Stencil "extra large dots", "What's brewing?".

Here used Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves as a background color and splashed some water droplets around. Then I sprayed the Stripe Jumble background stamp with water and put the cardstock on top to get this look. Die cut a rektangel from the background and then used the Carnation Frame die on that piece. Glued acetate on the back and glued the frame on top. Used the same frame die with black cardstock and used just the flower. Before putting it all together I stamped a sentiment on the background behind the frame. All products is from @simonsaysstamp ☺️ Oh, and I used Nuvo Glitter Drops with water and splashed it around for some sparkle ❇

I used the free thank you die I got with one of my orders along with the larger peony stencil and a couple of pawsitively saturated inks, all from #simonsaysstamp. Do you love shaker cards as much as I do?

Is there anything more seasonal than candy canes on kraft dressed to look like a parcel sitting under the tree! I had great fun painting this Candy Cane Background from Simon Says Stamp with gouache on kraft. You could get a similar look with coloured pencils, but gouache is quicker and less tiring on achy hands! 🎄
