I just found a few pictures that I thought I had lost from my summer in Newfoundland two years ago. I will be heading back there in the Fall to start a Masters degree but I was especially pleased with a few of them. When the light is good in Newfoundland, everything is so gorgeous, its hard to explain. I'm really excited to have another island rock to explore in the next 2 years!
Signal Hill is located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. It overlooks the city and is minutes walk from downtown.
This old PRR signal tower sits on the Northwest end of the Pavonia Yard in Camden, NJ. There is another signal tower on the same side about 1/2 mile further into the yard. Not sure what type of signal tower this is or how it was used. I hope Lampy can shed some light on this. At this section of the yard the tracks are leading to the main lines north of the city. Pavonia Yard use to be avery busy yard in its day. It is only a mere shadow of what it use to be.
