The Colne Valley Railway have recently acquired another signal-box. It is currently sitting on a low-loader wagon, waiting for a base, a crane and the manpower to place it on it's new base. While it sits there, I smile at the shaver socket on the outside wall!

Two stunning signal boxes in stunning locations! Very pleased with these, and more than glad that I took the trip out to photograph them in their twilight days, weeks, months, or (hopefully!) years until they are abolished and control is transferred to a state-of-the-art signalling centre.
Alrewas and Lichfield Trent Valley Junction signal boxes work absolute block with one another on the line between Lichfield Trent Valley and Alrewas level crossing.
Lichfield Trent Valley Junction fringes to Aston SCC, and Alrewas slots to Derby PSB, I believe.

Though (Thru) signal 4-Section used at the intersection of Green and Violet St. Birds had knocked off the visors on the lower two sections and messed up the sign so crews will be out to replace the sign. The sign DID say "T(h)ru Signal" but those birds broke the button copy "h" and turned it into a "u". Birds in Cucamonga are not stupid and tend to get on the signal crews nerves.

Went for a walk with the dog down the field at the back of the racecourse this evening this signal stood out against the evening sky
A signal warning about wearing heels in the mountains. It looks obvious but sometimes you see very strange things.

I felt every ounce of me screaming out
But the sound was trapped deep in me
All I've wanted just sped right past me
While I was rooted fast to the earth
In the confusion and aftermath
You are my signal fire
No, I don't wanna wait, forever
No, I don't wanna wait, forever
No, I don't wanna wait, forever...
