This grammatically incorrect sign had been up in toledo for like 30 years. I think most people know of it when you say "Gorilla Playing Saxophone"
UPDATE: It's actually "Helium Surprise - Gorilla Playing Saxophone"
UPDATE: It's not there anymore. The house was torn down and replaced with a Rite-Aid.
A sign I designed for the Clarion Model Railroad Club a few years ago. I took a ride up to Clarion, Pa with my Dad this weekend. I had never gotten around to seeing the sign in person.
Well it's finally going to happen. The weatherman says we are going to get hit with "the BIG ONE"!
Time to sit back and watch the insanity ensue as folks rush off to the grocery store and wipe out the shelves in anticipation of this event.
People around here really do go crazy when they predict snow. I'll bet the folks that live in places like Michigan or upstate New York just laugh at us.
Sigh! I guess I better go get that loaf of bread!

The famous Venice sign, located at the intersection of Pacific and Windward Avenue in the lovely Los Angeles beachside neighborhood of Venice.

This Biloxi Mississippi McDonalds was built in 1962. The original "Spedee" single arch sign survived Hurricane Camille in 1969 but the original building did not. In 2005, the vintage sign was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina and the owners tore it down. This is as it appeared in 1998.
Clem asked the woman working there if she would turn the sign on but alas, she said it didn't work.
This thing is incredible though isn't it?
