My particular favourite one was the "do not saw the seat in half". Where's the sign saying hammers are okay though?

Snapped in the excellent Fortean Times magazine (www.forteantimes.com)

Sitting outside the `Lona Tapas restaurant on Acland St, St Kilda these signs attracted me.

The Lona also did the best ribs we have ever had.

You can print the PDF's of these signs at my blog: teachfactory.com/?p=887

Thanks! :)

Dallas, Pennsylvania 2015.

Brocato's has a long tradition of serving lemon ice and other cold treats to New Orleanians. The sign is certainly pre-WWII. I took the picture in May of 2005. On a return trip in April 2006, the sign was gone (saved? destroyed?) and the shop was boarded up. The Website says they plan to return soon. I hope so. It's a New Orleans institution.

New sign in Aberdeen. Think all the local photographers got it. Gotta put my spin on it.

A bit of a random sign we spotted whilst on a drive somewhere near Glencoe. We were driving around after a wild weekend wedding and spotted this which made us smile. Don't know if the green cross code is just a British thing. It is the thing we get taught at school to help you remember how to cross the road safely.

Los Angeles' most iconic landmark, a simple sign on the top of a hill. Originally advertising a development called "Hollywoodland", the sign fell into disrepair, before a campaign led by Hugh Hefner himself restored the sign to its now iconic status over the Los Angeles hills. This view is taken from the Hollywood Bowl Lookout on the famous Mulholland Drive.

One of my favourite signs around town.

I just had to grab a shot of these signs with my regular digicam. This sign is on Nuuanu, mauka of Hotel Street.

The neon sign that once adorned the Union Gospel Mission's South Front Street building is one of the many signs on exhibit in the Yakima Valley Museum's "Neon Garden" collection. You can read more about it here: bit.ly/2GhilVQ
