On the South Rim, Hermit Road has some of the best Grand Canyon views that you can see anywhere. Once you get out to Hopi Point, the Colorado River comes into view, and on a quiet day at Pima Point, you can hear the roar of the Colorado River as it crashes through Granite Rapid.
Access is by commercial tour bus or free park shuttle bus, (Service between March 1 – November 30) which gives you the chance to look at the scenery, while someone else does the driving. The shuttle buses are great when you use them in conjunction with the rim trail — you can get off at one stop, enjoy a scenic walk along the rim, and then get back on the bus at the next stop. Or if you feel like taking a longer walk, fill a backpack with food and water, then take the shuttle bus out to Hermit’s Rest and day hike the Rim Trail the 8 miles (11 km) back to the Village.
If you enjoy bicycling, Hermit Road is probably the best place in the park. There is far less traffic out here because of the limitations on private vehicles. Also, three miles of Greenway Trail are great for cyclists as well those on foot.

Waiting for the night bus, from Chicago Midway Airport, as Good Friday begins just past midnight, at the Bone Student Center parking lot on the Illinois State University campus in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. Just before midnight, as Thursday faded into Friday, a college student braved the rain just across the street from this view in order to take a pee from the roof of one of the buildings. From January 2007 - Firstgroup plc took over the contract to operate
the shuttle bus between the terminal at London Luton Airport and Luton
Airport Parkway railway station.
The service is run by Firstgroup rail subsiduary - First Capital
Connect - and First FTR articulated vehicles are used. There is a
railway ticket machine now installed at the bus stop at the airport.
The service is no longer free.
This FTR is seen at the bus stop at the Luton Airport terminal
building in the morning of Wednesday 6th February 2008.

J323 BSH is a Leyland Olympian ON2R/Alexander RH Type H43/25D. New to London Buses as L323 in 1992. It passed to Arriva London & was converted to an open topper for London Sightseeing. It joined the McGill's of Greenock fleet in 2014 & was allocated fleet no.9323. It was taken in Greenock on West Stewart St as it participated in the McGill's open day event as a shuttlebus. It is mostly used when cruise ships are in port.
Some stops were scheduled, others were not. The shuttle driver stopped often for wildlife viewing, photo ops, rest stops and to pick up hikers. Unlike a tour guide, he isn't required to provide narration. But he did anyway in a funny, deep monotone and did a great job identifying landmarks and spotting wildlife.
The building at the start of the video is the Wilderness Access Center in Denali National Park where shuttle tickets are sold and the shuttles are boarded. The Park Ranger who boarded the shuttle at Mile 14 is about as enthusiastic a Park Ranger as I've ever seen. Clearly loves her job!
The Toklat River at Mile 53 is the final stop for the Toklat shuttle. The Eielson Visitor Center is located at Mile 66 and may be reached by the Eielsen shuttle, which didn't start running this year until June 1st. My ride to Toklat was on May 31st. The round trip to Toklat took 6 hours. The round trip to Eielsen by shuttle takes 9 hours. Private vehicles aren't allowed on the Denali Park Road beyond Mile 14.

This Vehicle has now transferred from Preston to Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire and operates from their Rock Ferry Depot in Birkenhead, Wirral.

Am 7. September 2014 war der ATB mit seinen historischen Bussen als Verstärkerbussen auf den Omnibuslinien „M45“ (zum „Tag der offenen Tür“ der Polizeidirektion 2) und „134“ (zum Flugplatzfest des Militärhistorischen Museums der Bundeswehr) als Autobuslinien „54 E“ bzw. „34 E“ geschildert unterwegs und hatte zusätzlich den Shuttleverkehr vom DTMB zur Depothalle des DTMB zu erbringen. Auf der letzten Linie war diesmal „Hugo“ des DVN im Einsatz.
Dublin minicoaches, which also trades as Irish minibus rentals has added this quirky little MCV to their ever growing fleet, which also includes a short wheelbase Sunsundegui, on various shuttle contracts from the East Point Business Park to the LUAS stop at the O2/ Point Village.
05D120269 is seen on shuttle duties heading for East Point as the evening rush hour kicks off, its a busy little service bringing workers to & from the complex, which is still quite remote & cut off, tucked in behind the port area on one side, Clontarf on the other, despite the Dart, local buses & LUAS, none of them are just that accessible within walking distance.
Of more interest is Ex London United VA294 which has just joined the fleet, a double decker Volvo B7TL still to enter service, presumably on this busy shuttle service, hopefully not in dealer white livery too.

This bus belongs to AP Busskoyring in Leirvík, on the island of Eysturoy, which explains why it bears the title Eysturleiðin on the sides (routes on Eysturoy). The cruise ship shuttles must pay well!
