Although the ducks along the river are fairly attentive, now and then one becomes consumed in its daily tasks, failing to perceive the dangers that surround it. Since finding this beautiful coyote, she has dined the remains of a duck which she captured earlier. Under our watch, a second successful hunt along the banks bequeathed her with an additional entrée of sumptuous ermine. Her perseverance is matched only by her determination, and long this stretch of the Madison, her skill is unrivaled.
