Here she is with her prize just after she broke it off the poplar tree. Checking her surroundings before she takes off I think... then, up and away, immediately transferring it to her talons....as I managed to catch in the previous photo!
Look at the size of the twigs and branches she likes to gather for the nest. Perhaps it doesn't look like much, but when you consider her size ... which is huge....it's a good sized branch... and, this is one of the smaller ones I've seen her carrying...
Have a look at this video if you'd like some info on the nests of eagles.
This is the Female Bald Eagle. I have found out which is which now... see that little black mark on her outside tail feather? ... That tells me it is her. I have "mating" photos of them and know from those which is the female.....the only way I can tell when they are apart is this mark.
They say the females have longer tails than the males...but, you can only see that if they are sitting side by side... this little bit of colour is a dead give-a-way.... I'm so glad I noticed it...

Looking back... she was sitting on the river bench, but I didn't found out, what caught her attention.
She came as a guest to a class of my portrait workshop, here in Buenos Aires. December, 2022.

Risin og Kellingin (Risin and Kellingin) are two sea stacks just off the northern coast of the island of Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands close to the town of Eiði. The name Risin og Kellingin means The Giant and the Witch (or Hag) and relates to an old legend about their origins. The Giant (Risin) is the 71m stack further from the coast, and the witch (Kellingin) is the 68m pointed stack nearer land, standing with her legs apart.
A legend tells how, once upon a time, the giants in Iceland were envious and decided that they wanted the Faroes. So the giant and the witch (his wife in some versions of the story) were sent down to the Faroe Islands to bring them back.
They reached the north-westernmost mountain Eiðiskollur, and the giant stayed in the sea while the witch climbed up the mountain with a heavy rope to tie the islands together so that she could push them onto the giant's back. However, when she attached the rope to the mountain and pulled, the northern part of the mountain split. Further attempts were also unsuccessful, and they struggled through the night, but the base of the mountain was firm and they could not move it.
If the sun shines on a giant or witch, it turns to stone. So it was that as they continued to struggle they didn't notice time passing, and as dawn broke a shaft of sunlight put a stop to their efforts by turning them to stone on the spot. They have stood there ever since, staring longingly across the ocean towards Iceland.

Now that I'm all on my own
I saw you just the other day
My, how you have grown
Cast my memory back there, Lord
Sometimes I'm overcome thinking 'bout it
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium with you
My brown-eyed girl
You, my brown-eyed girl
A short while ago, I had the great pleasure of meeting with Pei for some photos, coffee and lunch. Going in, I was greatly looking forward to the shoot and coming out, I know I was right to be. She's a great person, not just a great model.
Echo did the makeup, which is always a good thing.

Little/Big update-it’s finished! I think at least, we will see. Just have to make a little light box or area to take some final photos. Picking up a shit ton (idk which measurement system that fits into, but it’s a lot) of legos from my cousins tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll have enough pieces to take on some bigger projects as I get back into it! Enjoy the temporary photo, lemme know what you guys think!

...Nowhere now.
She's underwater, upside down;
The rising tide won't find her now.
She's lost and found - underwater.
She's underwater -
But she won't drown.
She can't believe it,
And every one she meets feels just the same.
~ Switchfoot
P.S.
I know...it's another "underwater" shot to a Switchfoot song. I'm totally out of fresh ideas.
Waiting alone in the crowd, waiting for the one who makes her smile, wipes away her tears, holds her hand and makes her feel the warmth and depth of the love. Looking towards at the crowd..... looking for him as she knows that he won't let her down, on the very day of Bengali Year ...........

This bighorn sheep ram had his ewe cornered on the tinest little ledge way up on the side of the rocky hill. She could not go any place until he unblocked her. I have seen them do this several different times during their rut season. (see first photo below for a more full view) I loved the way her eye showed through his horns in this shot! They were really to far out of my 600 lens range but I could not resist.
