I could swear that she was right there in front of me and posing so beautifully one minute and gone the next. These words are from the mind of this Least Bittern who went into her vanishing routine while I was photographing her. When they think they are trapped and there’s no other exit strategy, they stretch out long and tall like a reed and sway back and forth to make you think that they’ve vanished into thin air. This is the same Least Bittern that was featured in the capture a couple of days ago.
This is Sher-Dor Madrasah, seen from Sher-Dor Park in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
It was built on the orders of Yalangtush Bakhodur, Governor of Samarkand, between 1619 and 1636.

The newest addtion to the family: Virginia Claire was born at 7:52 this morning. She weighs 7 pounds 3 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well.
As a side note, eldest daughter went in for a routine check at her OB today, and was admitted to the hospital. She's at 35 weeks, so we are all hoping for one more week with her twins on the inside.
This is SOOC, except for a crop......maybe tomorrow.....
