one of the best places to view my favourite mountain, I am quite envious of the people who live on the top of this hill and get to see Miss Baker every day ... when she deigns to show her beautiful countenance :)

this one should probably say
"She's Lazy That Way" ...
but we do thank you all for indulging us the humor that we DO intend with our "paste-up" productions ...
"Oh, that silly Heidi @ Blythe Fifth Avenue ... She's Funny That Way ... " is hopefully what is being said ;)

This photo is dedicated to a lovely young lady Jaleesa.
Thank you soooo much Jaleesa for your nice testimonial!! It means a lot to me!
Those kind words just fuel my passion for photography!
Not long ago Jaleesa stopped by my stream and she had a blast. It was very kind of her so I returned a visit. Let me tell you, she’s no ordinary young photographer, she’s a photographer with a great eye! One photo that inspired me a lot was this one! She’s a sweet beautiful young lady and I’m so glad that we have connected on flickr! Keep up with your gorgeous self-portraits and wonderful photography my dear! xx
Sometimes you hike up a mountain, get both feet soaked crossing a river, get lost, and then find that one waterfalll you had been looking for, only to get home and find that all your photos were terrible. You got skunked. Then other times, you are in just the right place, at just the right time, the batteries are full and the memory card is ready, and you get magic. There are some shoots when you come home with so many keepers that you feel spoiled! That was this shoot. I live in Oregon. I love the State, but I have to say, we are not the best when it comes to Christmas lights. Sorry, it's true. So, to get the full experience and we drove all the way out to Idaho, where they seem to get it right. This is Caldwell. This was actually about 3 years ago in Caldwell, but I got so many great images that I keep going back to that well for Christmas images.
In fact, I tried to shoot a different Christmas light image this year, but Oregon got me again. There is a covered bridge about an hour and half form where I live that gets a full Christmas decorating every year. I called the City to see when they would be up, she told me, so we headed out to shoot it. Well, I guess I got the info wrong, because there were no lights. So tried again the next weekend, only to find that the official lighting of the bridge was the next day. Oh Oregon. So about $150 in gas and 6 hours of my life would never get back, I still have no image of that bridge. If you want Christmas, go to Idaho.
It’s been a hard couple of weeks and I think Lindsey has just about had enough of work. She is taking Friday off as compensation for overtime, and we are going to the beach for a long weekend. An ocean front balcony room at the Hilton should do her wonders.
(She had no idea I took this shot.)
She likes the cool classics and in this stack she has Shakespeare’s Complete Works, Tolstoy’s Complete Works in two Volumes, The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Rudyard Kipling’s Kim. Not bad for someone who can’t read, huh?. But, she has a lot of talent in other ways, like making you fall in love with her, etc. By the way, in case you hadn’t noticed, she’s a Manx cat and only has a small tuft of soft fur back there. Her Daddy is "Beautiful Blonde Bobby".
She's the coldest and the warmest, depending where you are...

She liked to live fast, smoke, and drink. All the things that were not becoming of a woman. Yet she made it divine.
