While the side windows were missing, the windshield was intact. Since the rear bed wall was also intact I wonder if the shooter shot the cab back windows from inside the cab. So many mysteries remain unsolved.

Is there any way out of here?

We go round and round restlessly

Chasing illusions of control that make us all go numb

So you run through the night alone

Trading courage for disdain

As if you had another life to live, to start again

The world caves in and wherever you go

The walls you've built and the wars you've won

Over and over come up again

I try to hear your voice from afar

Shattered memories fade away

I don't want to fight these ghosts anymore

Trading courge for disdain

To start again

The streets aren't bare in this Level 4 lockdown as people exercise or go to the supermarket or 'essential workers' go to and from work, but things are certainly a lot quieter than normal.

Ice on Walthamstow Marshes.

Colorado Springs, CO - This shot was inspired by this week's Flickr Friday theme "Shattered". It took two cups of ice and several hammer strikes to get the desired effect.

What better way to spend part of Saint Patrick's Day than smashing ice in the garage?

Brighton's beach huts can take a pounding by the weather through the winter months but I think this one has had just a bit of human intervention. The British Airways i360...the worlds tallest moving observation tower...stands in the background.

I noticed this little bee wasn't very energetic so I kept an eye on it to see whether it would fly away. When it didn't, I thought that perhaps it was really tired and lacking in energy so I went and got some sugared water. I went amongst the plants and tried not to trample them, then carefully spooned some water next to it. I tried to get the water as close as possible without getting it onto the bee for risk of hurting it. It still didn't move for the few minutes I kept watch over it so I smoothed the water over as close as I could. At last, the bee managed to draw enough energy to make a little lunge into the water. I then left it alone and just been to take a look and it's flown away! :D

P.S. You can actually see the tiny droplet of water the bee is drinking.

The outside of this truck was posted a week or so ago. The owner has a way to go if he plans to finish a restore on this. Interesting is the radio looks newer.

To take the shot I did need to climb into the back of the truck bed and shoot through its window. Happy Windows Wednesday!

Below is link to the truck from outside:

Madame Vice President-elect! A Black and Indian American woman. Nothing is impossible. I was thrilled to witness this day with the joyous crowd, here in DC. Took me back to when I came to this country many years ago full of hopes and aspirations, many of which have come true. This country made it possible.

“I hope every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities. While I may be the first I won’t be the last”

It was amazing to be part of the celebrations in DC after the elections. I took a lot of photos. People were overjoyed and it’s hard to imagine what’s happening in the aftermath - refusal to accept the results of the election, and an apparent attack on democracy. The country is so divided, it promises to be difficult road ahead.

I was hoping this was frost on a portion of my husband's pick-up truck; however, instead it's a lousy refinishing job on this part...so it looks this way year round.

A very emotional piece for me. I have been trying to finish it for a month now and just could not find that gritty emotion that I needed to express until today........Is there any worse pain than the very second your heart is shattered? That very second when you can feel the color draining from you because the jagged edges of your broken heart are piercing everything inside you. That second when you bend at the waist in the pain of your shattered heart......yeah this one is special to me

A cold still morning is shattered by the wonderful sound of LMS Ivatt 43106 working away from Victoria Bridge towards Arley
