One of my pencils and pencil sharpeners. Cropped to a 1:1 ratio.
Maybe view large, and thank you for your favourites. :)
A possible shot for Macro Mondays 'school supplies' theme. I have a couple of others to upload a decide between.
... Two times two.
Two brand new unsharpened pencils and two pencil sharpeners. Texture added in iPiccy.
I shall make a huge effort to get out for a walk tomorrow, to get some new photos - hopefully.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)
For the theme #Fasteners, I found my subject literally at my fingertips. I use pencils and paper to make notes before I post photos. The inside of the little plastic pencil sharpener has the two blades fixed in place with small screws. I did this in color and monochrome and decided I liked the monochrome better. I will post and link the color version as well. Great theme! Hope you enjoy -- HMM!.

Looking Close On Friday-Pencil Sharpener
The pencil was spinning around when I took this photo. This machine is around 23 years old. These things last!
Macro Mondays 'container' theme.
A pencil sharpener with a container to catch the shavings.
The image measures 2.25" in width
If I took this once, then I took it so many times that I gave up.
This is the best of the "better" ones I managed to get.
My little notepad with my favourite Biro, a ruler, a pencil sharpener and one of my new pencils and its pencil topper.
Cropped to a 1:1 ratio.

One of that "old things" is my pencil sharpener, from the period being at Elementary school.
Maybe it doesn't sharp any pencil any more, but sure I do love to spin the little planet, a couple million times all over again LOL

A pencil sharpener based on a sculpture by Robert Indiana (1928-2018) sits on a desk top. It measures 2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. The original sculpture was purchased by the Indianapolis Museum of Art where it has resided since 1976. It is especially famous for the "Tilted O".

For Looking close... on Friday! theme, "pencil sharpener". I own many sharpeners including electric, but this one is my favorite.
... Minimalism on White Background .
One of the pencil sharpeners on top of the white cupboard. I did change the background to white, as it looked a dirty grey on the original photo.
Try large and thank you for your favourites. :)
